Joclyn

I awoke to the sound of my recheid alarm clock blaring. Reaching over, I grabbed my phone and silenced my alarm. Another boring day, I sighed to myself. Getting out of bed, I stretched my body and yawned. Walking into my closet, I grab my outfit for the day and jumped into the shower. My outfit was a black flowy tank top with light blue ripped skinny jeans with a brownish grey cardigan and brown ankle boots. After my shower, I proceeded to dry off and get dressed, brushing my teeth afterwards. I left my hair in my natural wavy curls. Grabbing my makeup bag from the cabinet, I applied a light coat of mascara, winged eyeliner, and a nude matte lipstick. Simple and sweet. Leaving my bathroom, I grabbed my phone off the nightstand and checked the time. 6:30 A.M. Right on time. Heading to the kitchen, I see my mother, Mary, making breakfast for my father, George, and I.

"Good morning Mama." I kissed her cheek and hugged her from behind.

"Morning baby." she kissed my forehead.

I let her go and grab a plate from the dishwasher to serve my father and I. Just as I place the plates down my father walks in.

"Good morning, where are my girls?" he asks smirking to himself.

"Right here" My mother and I chorus.

My father chuckles to himself. This is a daily routine of his. We all sit down to eat and enjoy each others presence. We don't have to talk, but when we do, the airs filled with laughter.

After we all finish breakfast, we all start to head our ways. My parents work as Vice Presidents for a packaging company called Safe and Secure, of SS for short. Hearing the doorbell ring, I grab my black jansport backpack and leave first. Opening the door to my best friend Jackson, I wave to my parents.

"Good morning Mary, George." Jason bows slightly and waves with a grin on his face. He had the perfect bad-boy hair-do that swished to one side, chocolate brown eyes, and a big toothy smile.

"Mornin' Jac." My parents yelled out from the kitchen "You two have a good day at school" My mother followed. "Have a great day at work guys." Shouting louder then I should.

Slamming the front door behind me, Jackson and I make our way to his 2017 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Pickup truck, him opening the passenger door for me. Hoping in, I throw my bag to the truck floor and turn to the back to greet our friends, Orie and Mandy. Orie is pretty masculine, has vibrant green eyes someone would kill for, and is the captain of the baseball team. Mandy is pretty, tall and slender, with warm golden brown eyes. "Was'up guys!" I yell as the reach over and hug from the back. Jackson jumping in and starting the truck, we take off and make our way to school. We are all Seniors attending Lexington High School Alumni.

We live in the small town of Lexington, Virginia currently with the population of seven thousand and forty-two people. In a small town like this, you either know everyone or will cross by everyone more than once in your life.

Pulling into the parking lot of school, we all grab our stuff and head to cafeteria to get breakfast before the morning bell rings for class. My first three classes pass by like a blur; English 4, Astrology, and Advance Quantum Theory. The bell rings for everyone to go to lunch. I go to the office to sign out for lunch and race to the parking lot to meet up with everyone to go to lunch. Jackson, Orie, Mandy, and I go to Macado's for lunch almost every single day. We are regulars there.

Walking into the restaurant, we greet Sally, our server and place our order and head back outside onto the patio to enjoy the air. We all sit and talk about school gossip and our personal lives until our meals arrive. We immediately dig in until we are all full and ready for desserts.
