A girl was placing her belongings in her locker. Her brown hair fell down her back, those hazel eyes sparkling in the sunlight through the window. It was the same girl at the warrior's convention. Only this time, she wasn't in her makeup or armor. She was wearing a blue crop top with black jeans. Her hair was braided on the side, with the rest of it being curled and free. As she closed her locker, she was face to face with her boyfriend.

"Still willing to talk trash about my team?"

The girl held her books as she smiled.

"Yup. And FYI, no amount of defending them will change my mind." She replied.

Mark rolled his eyes.

"Whatever." He said.

His partner rolled her eyes. She walked beside him as he put an arm around her. The two of them walked the halls of Bay City East, chatting away as second period didn't start for another few minutes.

"So, is it weird for you?" Mark's girlfriend asked.

Mark looked at her.

"What?" He asked.

"Me being a junior?" She clarified.

Mark shook his head.

"No. I get more cred if I'm dating an older woman." He responded.

"It's only a year. You'll be seventeen in like five months." Eliza said.

"Six months. And your still older than me cause your born in the summer." Mark retorted.

Eliza shrugged. Coming down the halls on the opposite side was a freshman. He was on his phone, texting a sick Ryley. She was going to meet up with him for skate practice, but a bomb hit her stomach. Luckily, she was picked up before she vomited everywhere. She was going to be at home for at least four days. Her mom put her on lockdown. No leaving the house at all. This relieved Ryley, mainly because she didn't have to go to school.

Ryley: My brain feels like a solid rock.

Ryan: That bad huh?

Ryley: Bad? It sucks.

Ryan: Sounds like it does.

Ryley: Wish u were here. Then it wouldn't be so quiet or boring.

Ryan: I don't think my mom would want me near my sick friend.

Ryley: It's one little cold.

Ryan: You almost puked on the principal.

Ryley: Wish I did too. He gets on my nerves😒

Ryan chuckled.

Ryan: Mine too.

Ryley: So, what's going on? Anything interesting?

Ryan: No not really.

Ryley: Good. Nothing fun better be happening if I'm not there.

Ryan: It wouldn't be the same if you weren't.

Ryley: Course it wouldn't. I have flare.

Ryan: 😂 lol

Ryley: 😉

The pilot continued to conversate with his friend, with Mark catching him in the nick of time.

"Yo!" He called.

Ryan looked up. He walked over to his brother.

"What's up?" Ryan asked.

"I don't think you two met each other yet." Mark replied.
