Mason looks at me like I'm joking.

"Are you joking cause if  you are that's not funny." He says sternly.

I look at him my expression pained.

"Oh." He says, sliding his hand down his face.

"What are we going to do?" I sob, putting my head in my hands.

"Hey hey it's ok, everything will turn out fine." He coos pulling me into his lap.

I snuggle into his chest and cry harder as he runs his fingers through my hair. When I finally can't cry anymore I slowly lift my head off his chest and look into his gorgeous eyes. His expression is full of love and affection and a little bit of worry. I smile weakly and he smiles back kissing me softly on my forehead.

"We will get through this, I know we will." He says wiping a tear from under my eye.

I sigh and twine my fingers through his.

"How did we end up this way?" I ask.

"Destiny."

I laugh at that, and stand up. I stretch my hands over my head and groan.

"You tired?" mason asked, standing up beside me.

"Yeah." I sigh making my way to the stairs.

"Will you call me later?" he asks.

"Yeah." I reply.

When I close my door I hear the faint opening and closing of the front, signaling the mason has left the house. I sigh plopping my self onto my bed. I stuff my face in my pillow and fall asleep.

"I'm home!!!" my mom yells up the steps.

I groan sitting up in my bed.

"Avery did you hear me?" she asked.

"Yes mother!" I yell.

"There is no need to get snappy with me!" she called up the stairs.

I roll my eyes and make my way to the kitchen.

"How did your talk with mason go?" She asked bending down to put the cheese in the drawer.

"He was surprised at first but then he was cool with it." I said tossing the bread to her.

It hit her square between the shoulders and I stiffled a laugh when she looked at me angrily.

"Why did you do that?" she cried. I could see annoyance in her eyes but I could also see a hint of amusement in them as she grabbed the bread and threw it in the cabinet.

"I don't know." I said trying to keep a straight face.

"Next time don't hit me with it!" she said sternly.

"Next time at least try to catch it." I said smiling.

She glared at me before going back to putting away groceries.

"I'm glad he didn't get upset and walk out on you." she said changing the topic.

"Yeah me to." I said grateful to the change in topic and for the fact that he didn't not care.

My mom smiled at me, "Hey do me a favor and pass me the milk, but this time don't throw it at me." she said looking at me in exasperation.

"Yes mam." I said bowing before handing her the milk.

She rolled her eyes at as she took the milk from my hand.

I leaned against the table and watched her put away the rest of the groceries, "Do you need anything else?" I asked politely.

"No honey I'm fine go do whatever." she said shooing me away with her free hand.

"Ok." I chirp heading back up the stairs to my room.

When I walked into my room I heard a ding coming from my phone. I walked over to it and checked who the message was from.

"Hey u feelin better?" mason asked.

"Yeah." I texted back. I got and immediate response.

"Can I c u?"

"Sure, wat time."

"Now ok?"

"Yeah, my moms home but I don't think she will mind."

"Ok be there in a min."

"Ok." I sigh putting down my phone and stretched out on my bed looking up at the ceiling.

I heard his car pull in just as I was getting up to get something to eat. I headed down the stairs and answered the door right as he was about to knock.

"Hi." I said giving him a hug.

"Hey." he said kissing me lightly in the mouth.

I smiled and dragged him to the kitchen where my mom was sitting at the table reading the newspaper.

"Hey mom I want to introduce you to Mason." I said bringing mason to the table with me.

She looked up from the paper and smiled. "so this is the young man that got you pregnant."

I gasped and glared at her.

"What I just asked a simple question." she said sarcastically.

"Mrs. sanders I am really sorry about what happened." mason said pleadingly.

"Don't drown me in your pitiful sorry's" my mom said angrily.

"Mom can you just say hi nice to meet you. please." I said urgently.

"Hi nice to meet you." my mom said sarcastically putting on a fake smile.

Mason looked at me pleadingly giving me the "can we go somewhere else" look.

"Well mom Mason and I are going to go to my room." I chirped heading towards the stairs.

"Don't do anything stupid." she called after us.

I sighed angrily and stomped into my bedroom slamming the door behind me.

"OMG I am so sorry about her, she overreacts all the time." I exclaimed sitting down on the edge of the bed.

"It's ok I didn't expect her to like me all that much." Mason said sitting down beside me.

"That's not an excuse for her to talk to you like that." I grunted laying my head on his shoulder.

"Avery it's cool, just let it be." he said looking at me eagerly.

I looked up at him and smiled. "fine as long as you are not mad I am not going to be mad."

He laughed and laid down bringing me down beside him.
