Longhorn and Hectic were busy in their station. They were tasked to create a drone. A drone to fight in the war and defeat the enemy leader.

"Well we got the body model done" Hectic huffed tired from the day's work. Longhorn looked at the drone and felt a bit bad that it's parts would have to be harvested from fallen comrades. "Still not going with my idea huh?" Longhorn sighed as he was pulled closer to Hectic.

"I ain't losing you Longhorn, you're sticking with me, you promise" Hectic growled slightly. Longhorn offered to sacrifice himself for the drone a few days earlier. Longhorn wanted the best for his city but his partner and lover wouldn't let him.

"Think of him as our child Hectic, he's grow to make us proud wouldn't he?" He smiled intertwining his digits in Hectic's. Hectic looked at him sadly. "It's just a drone." He said trying not to breakdown again. "We can't just risk your life for a mech that we won't even raise. He'll be full grown."

They stared into each other's optics before Longhorn spoke up. "But he could help the people, and with my parts-"
"With your parts it won't make a difference! He won't kill Megatron so easily!" He yelled shakily.

The tension between him and Longhorn had been growing with all the stress. "He won't live to see freedom.." Hectic walked away to grab a cube of high grade and rest. Longhorn was left alone in the workshop. He turned to the camera he had left on and switched it off.

Prowl watched the screen go black. He had been watching home movies that Longhorn made before his passing.

"Prowl!" Hectic's now rough voice yelled from the other room. "Where the frag are you!? You're suppose to be training!"

Prowl rolled his optics as he stood up and walked to Hectic. "Day off" He simply said as he showed Hectic the deal they had made about days off from daily training. Hectic growled and shoved Prowl out of the way. "Sire-"
"Don't call me sire!" Hectic growled.

"Sir..maybe you should get some rest before you hurt your leg again" Prowl said as he followed his creator around the housing unit. Hectic had grown old in age and functionality. There wasn't one joint that wasn't rusted. Hectic's body was decomposing slowly and painfully in front of Prowl's optics. "Why don't you ever just leave this place?" Hectic sighed as he sat in his recliner and tried changing the subject. "I kicked you out but you keep coming back, why?"

"Longhorn's movies" prowl crossed his arms. It was true, he kept coming back for the tapes left from the golden ages. Prowl wanted to learn more in his carrier, he had no care for his sire but his carrier was a different story. He imagined Longhorn kinder then the old mech he was guarded by. Prowl touched the spots to where he use to have long horns, hence the name of Longhorn. That was his first design before Hectic decided for a chevron.

"Just plug in the wall and recharge your battery" Hectic growled as he went back to his room to lay down.

Prowl sighed as he sat near an outlet and plugged in. Most drones had to plug into walls like chargers just to get some shut eye.
