"Hey, wait up!" Ana called, struggling to catch up to Lucy. "Wait for me!"

"Come on, Ana. We're gonna be late on the first day. Like my mom always says, 'Your first impression shou-"

"Should always be the best impression. Yeah yeah." Ana chants, rolling her crystal blue eyes. "Anyways, this is high school. Relax! This might finally be the year where we meet "The One" and fall deeply in love, never to get back up again."

"Hello? Lucy?" Ana questions, snapping her fingers in front of her friend's face.

"Huh? What? Did you see that guy? Hmmmm. He's so CUTE!"

"Yeah. What were you saying about focusing on grades? Never doubt the Anameister!" She does a little victory dance while Lucy rolls her eyes unwilling to admit that her friend is right once again.

"I wonder who he is...Guess I'll just have to do a little research,"Lucy says mischievously.

The bell rings and the mystery wonder boy is lost in the crowd. The halls are suddenly crowded with students that have seemingly appeared from nowhere.

"Your research will just have to wait till later. Let's go!" Ana says urgently.

"Fine," Lucy mumbles reluctantly. "Let's go..." She follows her friend with a final hopeful look backwards in the direction of her "true love". She is surprisingly rewarded when she sees a pair of warm brown eyes staring at her through the crowd. She is pulled away before she can react.
