'Some company'

I walked home, looking at the sky. How the clouds slowly parted , as the sun showed.
I left school later than usual, so it was quiet on my walk home. My best friend Chungha was off sick today, and Sejeong was on holidays.
My house was only ten minutes away anyway.
My bag had nothing but my maths book in it- of course that teacher had to give us homework.
Even though my bag was light, I began to feel weak. My feet started dragging along the ground, although I kept up with my usual pace.
As it got harder to walk as the seconds passed,my foot got caught in something-but I didn't realise.
The cerb
I stumbled in an attempt not to fall, but it wasn't working. I wasn't balanced at all and I was panicking too much.
Out of nowhere, a hand shot across in front of my stomach, shielding me from my fall.
I stood back up and after a few seconds I regained balance and gathered myself.
"Thank you," I said without looking directly at the person.
"No problem," A feminine voice replied. I looked down at her legs.
She was walking beside me.
Awkwardly, I looked up to be polite. Our eyes met and I stared for a few seconds. Not to be rude, I turned away.
It was the new girl. She looked tired, and her bag looked heavy.
Tough first day,I suppose.
"Want me to carry that for you?" I offered, even though I knew my bag was already heavy enough.
"No,no I really don't want to cause you any hassle," the girl protested.
"It's fine, it's your first day, I'll help you out," I smiled and went to take it. She took it off and handed it to me.
"It's probably too heavy though," She looked away.
I took my bag off my back and held it in my hand and put her bag on my back.
It was heavy- What did she put in there? Her whole locker?
"Isn't your name Nayhee, right?" The girl asked.
"No, it's Nayoung," I replied laughing a bit.
"Oh,sorry, I'm Kyulkyung,"She said.
We just kept walking in awkward silence. She stayed beside me staring at the sky.
"Do you understand the Maths?" She asked eventually bringing up a topic.
"No, no one does, don't worry if you don't get it, the teacher is bad any ways," I reassured her. She laughed and looked away again.
"Oh, this is my estate." She pointed at a row of houses beautifully aligned .
"Really, here? My estate is just there," I pointed to a row of house that were just down the road while handing her back her bag.
"Oh, really? How coincidental," Kyulkyung said rather suspiciously.
"Yeah I guess, well, bye," I said and walked down to my house.
As I walked into my estate a little boy I knew ran infront of me.
He stuck out his tongue and done stupid gestures while laughing.
I stuck out my tongue back.
"Will I tell your mom you're doing that Hyung-soo?" I threatened.
Hyungsoo laughed and ran away. I smiled and continued walking.
I reached my house and I slipped the keys into the door and turned them.
I walked into the kitchen to get a snack and seen my brother there.
My parents were away on a business trip and left me with him. It wasn't like he was mature anyway, they could've left me alone.
"I'm going to a party at six, you'll be alone until probably late Sunday," Na-Jun,my brother said.
Yes! Today is Friday so that means three days to myself.
"Aw, do you have friends?" I sarcastically said .
I grabbed a carton a banana milk from the fridge.
"Hey, I have more than you , you only hang out with Chungha and Sejong," He pointed out.
"Hey!have more than that, just Sejeong and Chungha are closer," I lied. I do have other friends, but not a lot.
He smirked.
"Sure,"
I pouted and went to my room.
This weekend was going to be interesting
