Tessa

My eyes fluttered open to a white room, white walls, everything so white. I hate white.

I look down at my stinging arm, needle put into it, I groan already knowing where I was. I pulled the needle out, tossing it aside.

"Hey, you need that!" And that oh so familiar voice that I love, shouts, causing me to cringe, shutting my eyes.

"Shut up." I open my eyes, looking over at Nathan, he got up hovering over me. My head was pounding.

"Crocker? Really? You know I don't condone of you hanging out with him." He speaks sternly and it honestly irritates me.

"I'm not a kid for gods sake, I'm four years younger than you! I do what I want, now, if you don't mind, I have places to be." I smile at him, attempting to stand up, a sudden sharp pain hitting my lower back causing me to fall back into bed.

"Yeah? You have nowhere to be. Look at you. What happened?" The frown on his face was starting to upset me.

"What did Duke say? Where is Duke?" I question, a sudden urge to see him.

"He didn't say anything. He left. So tell me what the hell happened." He scolds me, and I just roll my eyes, crossing my arms over my chest.

"I want to see Duke. I'm not speaking 'til I see him." I whine, and he shakes his head, walking right out of the room. I shiver. It was cold, my back was killing me and I wanted to see Duke.. I just- after last night I need to see him. I don't know why, I just do.. It's this sudden urge that I feel.. I want to be with him.

I look around the room, looked so boring. So plain. I wanted to leave. Now.  I honestly couldn't stand the pain in my back, though. I bring my hands up to my eyes, rubbing them, a yawn escaping my lips, when I hear footsteps. I look up, there's Audrey. Nathan walks out once she walks in.

I furrow my eyebrows at her. "You okay? They said you went a few minutes without any oxygen, what happened?" she questions, walking closer to me, standing at the edge of the hospital bed.

"I don't know what happened." I lie.

"Well, you're okay now. Or so it seems like you are, do you feel okay?"

"I feel fine. You and Nathan okay?" I ask her.

"Well, apparently theres a resurrection trouble going on and I was going to deal with that while Nathan found out what he could about Dave keeping secrets, but Nathan has been acting odd." She nods, as she finishes speaking.

"Weird. Look can you do me a favor, please?" I plead, and she arches an eyebrow.

"What's up?"

"I need you to either get me the hell out of here or find Duke, MAKE him come here." I sit up, looking her dead in her eyes.

"Uh, nurse said he brought you in? I mean, you didn't talk to him?"

"Audrey, just do me the damn favor. You getting me out of here or what?" I question her.

"Negative, you're in bad shape.. I'll bring Duke." She states and I nod.

"Yeah, well sooner rather than later would be great." I mutter, as I watch her leave, going back to staring at these white walls..

°Two hours later°

My eyes fluttered open all over again, this time I wasn't in a white room.. I looked around, sure looked familiar, I pushed myself up, standing up on my feet, the cold hard ground causing chills to run up my spine. The pain in my back, completely gone. I walk towards a wooden door, opening it and walking out of the room I was asleep in, it was odd.. I mean I was in a hospital with terrible pain and now? I'm somewhere.. Somewhat familiar, with no pain.

I looked around, a smile playing on my lips when I realize where I am. Audrey's place, above the Grey Gull. Why I was here, I have no idea, but I needed to find Duke, and being here should make that much easier.

I jog to the front door, slipping on some of Audreys random shoes, when I realize what I'm wearing. Hospital gown.

Okay, even if Audrey brought me here how the hell did she do it? Nathan wouldn't let her if he knew.. And how was I unconcious the whole time, I don't even remember falling asleep..

I guess that's all irrelevant though.

I grunt, pulling the gown up over my head and tossing it aside, walking back into the room I was in which had to be Audrey's room, walking to the closet and picking out the first dress I found, pulling it on. I was not going to take the shoes off to put on pants, no, I needed to find Duke. I was definitely in a rush and with that I left the house, not really caring to lock it.

I wanted Duke right now. He got my trouble so he must know what the hell it is... I also just have a weird urge to find him.
