Chapter one
(Dannys p.o.v)
I heard my mum shout up the stairs. As per usual.
'Danny! We need to talk about something"
I walked out of my small cramped room that I had to share with my younger sister, Lola, all her shit was everywhere, she was only 5 but seriously what kind of person needs all these dolls. I walked down the stairs trying not to kill myself on any of these stupid toys she had laying around, as I got down the stairs I could see my mum and my dad sat there. Why was my dad home he was working all the time, I sat down on the couch with my feet up
" What do you wanna talk to me about?" I guessed I was in some sort of trouble as I usually am. I saw on the glass table there was a bowl of crisps, I grabbed a handful and started eating them.
"Listen" my dad sounded serious. Shit did I kill the cat or something.
"Yes" I replied.
"We know that the house is small and we are low on money and that is exactly why I wanted to speak to you, ive been offered a job"
"Great!" I replied instantaneously.
Seriously though thats great because it means I might not have to share a room with Lola anymore.
"Yes it is, exactly why im taking the job, but.." there was a few second pause.
"The jobs in America."
I was shocked. Understably I didnt want to move I had friends here, family!
"Aw have a nice time, dad" I said that knowing full well the answer to it.
" Dont be silly Danny, we are all going."
My mum started to speak.
"We are leaving on thursday, so please pack your stuff and say your goodbyes to your friends. I know you dont want this but it will be good for us"
THURSDAY!?! Today was monday!
I know it will be good for us but I seriously do not want to go at all.
