My name is Angela Hadyes. I'm just your average girl. The thing is, though, I'm from the moon and immortal. So, I'll be average if I was back on my planet, with my kind, the Lunars. But I would never be normal because everything changed when my home was destroyed. My planet, my friends, my family, all gone because of bombs from Earth. I saw things that were not for kids the age of 16, the blood, the dead bodies, the home's razing to the ground. The year was 1774. But I managed to flee to an escape pod and leave my planet, my home, my past behind. I came from the moon, down to your planet, planet Earth. I huddled close to the wall that I came through from and learned that the place was London. Or "Jolly Old London" as some humans had called it.
I learned that humans lived in houses like us Lunars. I learned that humans ate live animals. I learned that the air was smoky and that humans sometimes inhaled some of that smoke purposely. A nice human family took me in. But I was never close to them, I learned a long time ago not to trust any humans. I learned that lesson the hard way... They taught me English, to draw, to read, to write. But one day, I learned something: I learned that humans don't live forever like Lunars. So when they all withered and died, I was still alive and I looked 25, because Lunars appearance doesn't change after 25. I had a general idea of how this terrible planet worked and decided to find a job. I had to change my identity time after time. Now, I'm a successful businesswoman with a company. The year is 2017. When everything was as normal as everything could get, something changed again. Something that I, in all my 243 years alive, could never explain nor forget. The Lunar lightning bolt hit me.
