I watch as the wave of students slowly spread out over the sidewalks. I sigh and begin making my way through the bustling crowd. I manage to dodge the people sprinting their way down the walkways, but like; Hello, there are people walking here!
I feel awkward without a friend by my side unlike everyone else, so i decide to make a game up to keep my myself busy. I study the people as i walk by them (In a not creepster way.). I see a few people with cat ears and a tail, and even saw a girl with whiskers as well. 'Thats pretty cool' I think to myself while looking around.
I stare back down at my schedule in an attempt to find my homeroom class number. And of course, it's my luck, i slam into something and fall down. My already sore bottom is hurting once again and I'm pretty sure my face looks like a tomato, which is just great! I look up, and see the same guy from earlier.
"Aiya?" He asks while looking down at me. "You look.. Different.." He says with a slight chuckle before offering his hand to me. I take his offer and hoists me up.
"I know. I look terrifying." I complain, looking down at my feet. "Anyways, I'm sorry for hitting into you.. again.." I give an awkward chuckle.
"Haha, Aiya, You look awesome! But on another note we need to stop 'Bumping into each other' Like this. Eh? Eh?" He smirks at me, most likely expecting a hard girly girl laugh.
"Baha," I laugh sarcastically "Very funny. Great joke and all but, do you know where Mr. Colding's room is? He's my homeroom class and i have no idea where it is." I give a disapproving sigh at myself.
"Well sure. I have the same homeroom, so we can just walk there together." Yew smiles. "By the way, love the pointy ears. They suit you."
"Uh, thanks!" I was a bit taken back by his compliment. This is all slightly cliché but i kind of like it. Oh god, get it out of my head, i don't need this!
I continue following Yew, of course always a couple steps behind him because of my stubby legs and his long strides. I look him up and down once again, studying him in the least creepy way possible. There seems to be nothing different with him. He doesn't have cat ears, wolf ears, nothing. He seems like a normal human male who always walks with his hands in his pockets and his shoulder slouched. He looks back at me and smiles, slowing down his pace.
"Sorry. Guess you can't keep up with me."
"Well I'm short! Okay." I grumble. Even at his slowed down pace i have trouble keeping up.
"Here we are." He opens the door to the classroom. I thank him before walking in.
I take a look around, looking at the teacher, then at all of the students standing all around the room, some already in their assigned seats.
The teacher looks over at me. He is an older man, looks to be in his 60's. He has gray hair and a receding hair line. He has light wrinkles over his face, and neck. He also wears older looking clothes.
"There are post-it-notes on the seat you are assigned too. You can find it and take your seat." He says in a very monotone voice. I nod and make my way over to the tables. I go from open seat to open seat, reading each of the names in my head.
After a while of searching, i find myself seated beside a brown haired guy. His name is Max according to the post-it-note. He looks over at me and slightly waves.
"Heyyyyyy, what's cookin' hot lookin'" He nonchalantly wriggles his eyebrows and makes a kissy face.
"Uhm.. Pardon me-" Before i can even finish my sentence, Yew speeds over and grabs Max by the shirt collar.
