Things You Can't Outrun

"On a regular movie scale that was a seven out of an eight" Iris said. "zombie movie scale, it was like a four, tops!!" Barry replied. Placing my hands into my pockets "there a zombie movie scale? how come I wasn't told about this?' pointing at myself "did you know that Zombies exist in nature? there's a species of fungi that infects, ant, causing the ants to attack plants that can release spores which in turn infect new host" me an Iris turned out head to each other nodding "I'm going full nerd again, aren't I?" "yep" I said. "yeah it is totally okay though you are still the cutiest nerd that I know anyways I'm a lot more interested in the the amazing of late" "you mean cause this a streak thing?" Barry asked. "Come on Barry you seriously don't believe that this guy is real considering you breathe in the impossible" he was about to open his mouth until my phone rang "hang on a sec" I said lifting up my index finger "hello?" "hey it's me adam" "oh hey I am kinda in the middle of something right now can I talk to you later?" "sure have fun" "thanks see you later" I said and hung up. I turned around and saw Barry right where I left him along with Iris "you guys wanna grab a bite to eat? I'm feeling a little famished" Barry said "After the mongolian barbaque we had before the movie and the extra large popcorn you had at the movie? how are you not fat?" Iris asked Barry "I've been jogging" "oh okay!" Iris said.  The Flash has been a hope to the city since the star labs explosion. I feel as though he is someone I know like he was someone very close to me. But who could it be?.  

     My mom always was at home. Dad was barley around and has hardly been home. But one night they were fighting about something "she is not my daughter!!! "keep your voice down! she is your daughter! you told me you wold love her no matter what!' mom said "yes but that was until I found out she was his daughter I mean look at her she is black and our daughter is white!!" I had never seen my father so angry. "Please don't do this not when we all need you" mom said. He grabbed his jacket and furiously slammed the door. Mom placed a hand on her hip and paced back in fourth with stress. "mommy?" I said rubbing my eyes she turned her head and smiled at me and gently lifted me up and took me upstairs. Mom always tucked me in before I fell asleep "Don't worry Olivia mommy will always take care of you and your sister". 

   I went into CCPD to see Joe. "Hey Joe" I said before giving him a gentle kiss on his cheek "Hey baby what are you doing here?" "just came to give you something" I said before handing him my homemade pumpkin pie "is that your mother's famous pumpkin pie?" he asked "only the best put a little cinnamon on top" he smiled and began to eat it "so good as always" he replied. "I am going to see Barry" I said before walking upstairs to Barry's Lab "hey" Barry said "wow seriously love your job only wishing I had a better one" your eyes can get lost in his lab or should I say get lost in his blue-green eyes that make my heart melt. "so Barry what is the case today?" I asked "nothing special just a metahuman who can posion people with his gas he killed the judge" "ouch this guy sounds dangerous maybe you should even stay away from him" I replied. He chuckled "so ummmmmm can I ask you for some advice?" "yeah sure" he replied and walked towards me "so adam and I are pretty serious but I am just like super insecure how someone like him could love or even like someone like me" Barry gently placed both hands on my shoulders and rubbed them "olivia you are one of the smartest girls I know your funny, sweet, and so-so beautiful" he made me smile and he knew how to do it too. "thank you Barry what would I do without you?" I gave him a small hug wrapping my arms around his neck. 

  The more I see the flash and how he has saved people make me think of Barry. He has been always such a great friend and always has been understanding or loving. The flash reminds me of him. The Flash makes me want to write a blog about him and continually learn more about him.  There was a new meta human on the lose who had the power of poison gas. Joe was visiting Henry Barry's dad at iron heights. I knew that trying to get a story from Joe might work. I was able to get into the prison and saw Joe talking to Henry. I didn't know much about Barry's dad all that I knew was that he was a great man who loved his son and didn't kill his wife. I know he didn't.  But I saw something  I saw that was green and mist looked like something you would put in gas chambers you know from the holocaust.  It was heading towards Joe "Joe look out!!" I yelled but I was too late but that's when the Flash came just in time to help Joe. I ran to Joe putting hands on his shoulders "Joe stay with me stay with me please" tears began to trickle down my eyes. He was breathing which gave me some relief.  I grabbed my phone and called 911 to get Joe some help.  

   The flash continues to save those around him and always seems to put people first.  Adam called me while I was in the hospital with Joe "hey I heard that you were at the prison are you okay?" "yeah it was Joe that took the fall I am staying with him overnight to make sure he is okay" I replied "bummer was hoping we would have another date tonight" He said "Adam my dad is in the hospital and all you have to say is your sad about our date!".  Adam and I were serious but maybe not so much anymore.
