Chapter 2 : Lost in the Woods

"Wait, it's real?" Richie asked with confusion. "Like I said, let's go find out." Ray replied. Alex thought for a while. "We can't go tonight. Our parents will find out. But I think all our parents will go out Monday night." he said. Everyone thought for a moment, then they finally agreed to explore the woods on Monday after school.

Monday came and they all went to school. When school ended, the kids met up at the front of the school. "So, are you guys ready to go?" CJ asked his friends. "Yeah, but we need to leave our bags at home." Alex replied. "Then we can go." he continued. Then suddenly, a person asked the kids "Go where, loser?"

They look for the source, which turned out to be Josh, the school's bully. Beside him were Mike and Tyler, his two lackeys. "Yeah loser, go where?!" Mike repeated. Richie frowned and said "It's none of your business." "You better watch your mouth, girly!" Josh replied, but was then interrupted by Tyler "Josh, don't you have homework you want me to do? Why are you wasting time with them?" Josh growled and walked away, with Mike by his side. Before going, Tyler turned to Alex and said "You're welcome." Alex smiled as Tyler walked away.

Soon after, Alex and his friends met up at pathway leading to the amusement park. "Are you guys ready?" CJ asked his friends. "Let's go!" Ray replied with excitement. They started their journey, with only flashlights and a smoke bomb to protect themselves. With Alex leading, they traveled deeper into the woods, looking for the amusement park.

"Are you sure we should do this this?" CJ asked his friends for reassurance. "Yes, so we can prove that it is just a story!" Alex replied. Then, three shadowy figures arose from a nearby bush. As the figure in the middle took a step forward, it stepped on a twig, causing it to break and scare the kids. "RUN!" Richie shouted. They all ran as fast as they could away from the twig. Then they all stopped to catch their breath.

"Did we lose it?" Ray asked his friends. "I think so." Richie replied. "But we're also lost in the woods." Alex told his sister. "We're not lost. We just need to follow the path!" CJ said trying to make the situation better. Alex sighed and asked "What path?" CJ looked around to see that they have strayed away from the path. "Come on, guys! Let's go find this circus of the dead without the path!" Ray said to enlighten his friends. As Ray walked forward, he tripped on a rock, causing him to tumble down a little hill.

"Now that's what I call a 'tumbler'!" Richie said jokingly. "Nice one sis." Alex laughed while giving Richie a fist bump. "Not funny, Richie!" Ray replied after recovering from the fall. "Hey guys, what's that?!" CJ asked, pointing at what seemed to be a park. "We're here." Alex said with a smile.
