Kate’s POV:

“Hello!? Where are you!? I’ve been calling you for how hundred times but you weren’t picking up the phone!” says Axel in a loud and angry-like hoarse voice. I’m pretty sure he just got off their gig with his band-mates.

“I’m sorry. I’m riding in a taxi heading home right now. I was at Jane’s so I wasn’t able to check my phone ahead. What made you call?”

“I’ll pick you up by 10:00 this evening. Fix yourself.” says him.

“Huh? But it’s late evening! Is there any special occasion? Where are we going to ... Hello? Axel? Hello!?” Ugh. As usual, he cut off the line. Well what’s new. It’s simply Axel.

He’s always been like that ever since high school. He’s bossy, bully, bipolar, hot-tempered, a bit immature (admittedly), and the one who easily gets annoyed when he doesn’t get what he wants.

But you know, despite those things, many girls in school have a huge crush on him. Well, who would not have in the first place? His tantalizing eyes alone could capture all the girls around him, and a single blink of his eye could skin even the straightest guy on Earth. Yeah, I know I’m way too exaggerated!

Looking at the brighter side, Axel may not be a good guy, but truly he is a good person underneath the shell. You just have blend with his hard-to-please features so you could grasp a tasteful time with him.

It annoys me whenever people say that I’m so lucky for having him as a boyfriend, that he’s too good for me and other sort of things like that. Ugh! Like duh!? HELLO!? People nowadays are too dumb not to realize how lucky he is for having such a beautiful girl like me! Did I mention that I’m smart and a wide-ranged singer too? LOL.

But seriously, there are so many beautiful and hot girls in school and I’m still wondering how did he ever notice someone like me. I know that I’m (ahem) beautiful, but I admit there are many girls out there who are more physically attractive than me. Sometimes, I get to ask Axel about this stuff and all he says is “Because you’re ugly and it’s easy for me to spot you out of those bunches of beautiful girls.”

He never gave me a serious answer but to be honest, my heart flatters out of happiness because I know that he really loves me. He may not tell it verbally, but I can feel it. It’s the love that every girl has ever dreamt of.

*knocks the door*

“Mom! I’m home!”

“Oh sweetheart it’s you. You’re drenched! Come on in. Haven’t I told you to bring your umbrella today?” says my ever-loving mom. “Drink a lot of water and change your clothes. You might get cold. I’ll prepare you a hot coffee to warm you up,” she added.

Not all have the same praises to Axel. Mom is the goddess of love but never to Axel. She despises him ... A LOT. Mom would always label Axel as the heartbreaker-type of guy who hides a devil horn inside him and will eventually cheat on me. But still she doesn't refrain me from being with him though. Weird huh.

My friends, even Jane, always ask me what did I see from this guy aside from ... the good looks of course. And I always answer them back with a plain smile. Even if he’s tagged as a bad guy, I know deep inside him that he loves me so much. He isn’t actually the typical sweet-type boyfriend, but trust me! He’s sweet in his own “unique” way that only I could see and understand.

Axel’s POV:

Ugh! This ugly petite stupid girl annoys me! I’ve had hundred missed calls and text messages already but she isn’t heeding! For now I’ll hold my temper. She should be thankful! If it weren’t just for our third anniversary, I could’ve buried her alive!

“Axel? Oh Axel, is that you?” This voice sounds pretty familiar.

“Carla? Hey Carla! It’s you.. H.. how are you?”

“I’m doing great! It’s been quite long time since we’ve seen each other, like since high school right? What are you doing here?”

Oh this is awkward! – “Uh, I’m preparing for a date with ... with Kate, my girlfriend. It’s our anniversary.”

“(shocked) Kate? Kate Medina? Our batch-mate who used to be bullied led by you during high school for being so thin like a barbecue stick? So she’s the lucky girl who replaced me, huh. (giggles) Nah I’m just kidding!”

“Ah, sorry but I think I better go ahead. It’s getting late and she’s waiting for me to pick her up. Nice meeting you again! Till next time then!” I uttered as I left her with a dry smile.

It’s Carla, my ex-girlfriend. We used to be together way back high school, but we broke up when she went to the States for college. The break-up was a dread. We weren’t in good terms at that time. I wonder what she’s doing here. Vacation perhaps? Ugh! What the hell do I care. Everything about us is done and besides, I have my cutie Kate who isn’t as hot, gorgeous, and stunning as Carla, but she has the X-factor. There’s something in her that captured me, something that I haven’t ever felt from Carla.
