"And what happens when they die?"
"Love will live on."
Forbidden Hearts
Part OneMy name is Yukita Nagasami. I am just one out of many Ninjas that belong to one, huge Clan. My father is the Great Lord. Meaning that when he dies, I will take his place, since my brother has no interest in such.
I have recently been motivated to an S-Rank Ninja. This is a great Honor, and because of this, I will be given a new, more difficult assignment than my last. My new mission is to protect someone who attends a school called Beigoma Academy. At the moment, my father and I are riding there now. I watched silently as trees flew by, eventually falling asleep.
I was awoken by someone tapping me on the shoulder. I looked over and saw it was my father. He greeted me with a warm smile as he handed me a an off white sheet of paper that I soon realized was a list. I looked over it a few times, the over at my father, who was now sitting in the parking lot of the school. "I want you to avoid anyone who fits that criteria. Alright?" I simply nodded. Next, he handed me a blue and white sphere. "Also, here is a message for your teacher, it explains why you were late, and explains the list's purpose. I nodded again and opened the car door "Bye, see ya when I get home." I told him sweetly. He smiled "Goodbye Yukita." He replied, kissing my cheek.
I stepped out of the car and shut the door, a red bag slung over my shoulder. Just in case you're wondering, this is what I look like:
I'll make it digital later
I look a deep breath and was about to enter the school as a boy with blue hair and wore a red hoodie sped past me. It seemed as if we were both late.
I looked up at the school and took a deep breath. Looks like I'd be stuck here until I completed my missionI ran with half of my speed which was more than I needed. Flying past Gray lockers and a few bathrooms. The boy who ran past be before I entered was now behind me. I skidded to a stop in front of my classroom. Looking down at my schedule, I knew I was in the right place. The sign that hung down from the wall read: Mrs. Narnia. She would be my Homeroom and first period teacher. I looked at my schedule once more and saw that she was my Accelerated math teacher.
The boy from before finally caught up and went inside of the door. Before he did, he grinned at me. I didn't follow him inside because I was told she would open the door for me. I leaned over just enough to see the classroom. Catching a glimpse of my new teacher, my eyes widened. She was beautiful. It just so happens we met eyes and she smiled at me, making her way over to the door as it was about to close. Mrs. Narnia stopped the door and opened it. "You must be Ms. Yukita, yes?" She asked with a warm smile "Yes Ma'am." I replied politely. She let me in, and I quickly scanned the room. I found, one, two, then three people who fit the criteria my father provided for me.
I decided to follow his orders and planned to avoid them. Mrs. Narnia shut the door behind her and went to my side. She laid her hand on my back, near my butt. It was comforting though. "Class," she began "we have a new student today. Please give your warmest welcome to Ms. Yukita Nagasami." People smiled all around the room, but I spotted one boy who had a confused look. He raised his hand "Yes?" Mrs. Narnia said, directing her attention to him. "Um, Yukita?" He said, giving me a slightly worried look "Are you ok? You're all brown!" He said, pointing at me. Mrs. Narnia was silent, though she had a genuinely surprised look on her face. She was about to address the boy as people started to stare at the boy giving looks that said "Are you stupid or something?" Or "Are you slow?" I stared at him also and realized he meant no harm by asking. He was only curious. I smiled gently "Well, you see," I began to reply "I'm African American, I came from America, but my ancestors are African, they have brown skin too." He listened carefully, trying to learn. "This trait was passed down when they had kids, and their kids had kids, and so on. My father is the same color as me, when he married my mother, who is the same color as me, their genetics were passed down. That is why I look the way I do." The boy nodded "Ok! It makes me happy that you're not sick or something." I smiled warmly "Thanks for worryin' but I'm fine." He returned my smile.
Mrs. Narnia smiled and removed her hand from my back "Now, Yukita, please go and sit next to Daigo." She told me. I got a bad feeling "Daigo? Please raise your hand." A boy with spiky black hair and a red bandana raised his hand. My eyes widened slightly, then I sweatdropped, looking away. My new teacher noticed "Yukita? Is something wrong?" I sighed and pulled out the sphere that my father had given to me. I handed it to Mrs. Narnia "Please listen to this message from my father. It would be much appreciated if you'd step outside before you do." She stayed silent as I handed it to her. Mrs. Narnia stepped outside and I was left to stand there. I saw Daigo put his hand down out of the corner of my eye.
After a few moments, she came back into the room and handed it back to me "Go sit down next to Daigo." She repeated. I looked at her surprised "But my father-" "Ms. Yukita you must understand that I will not allow any student to be ignored just because of his or her religion, or because of the way that they look." She explained calmly, cutting me off. I sighed, looking down and trudging to my seat, dragging my bag behind me. My eyes were barely visible under my bangs, but I was still able to see. Daigo glanced at me, slightly worried. As I passed by him, I felt a shiver up my spine as I sensed his dark aura. I slumped into my seat. It seemed like he was staring at me the whole class period.
Finally, class was over and I stood up from my seat. I was about to walk out when I was stopped "Hey, Yukita?" A slightly deep voice called out to me. I turned around to see Daigo "Are you ok?" He asked, seeming slightly worried. I was going to say something, but my ears twitched as I thought I heard my father remind me to ignore people like him. Mrs. Narnia watched as I deliberately ignored him and said nothing, exiting the classroom without a word.
