Morning, guys!
Hope you slept well. Here is everything I have for Jordan.
Instagram: jordan....
Phone: 573-...-....
Email: j.........@........com
               Happy fishing,
                         Lucy xo

Nev and Max were beginning the research portion of the investigation in a quaint, independent coffee shop close by. The atmosphere there was perfect. Freshly ground coffee had filled the building with its scent. Exposed brick was on the wall to their left. Edison light bulbs hung from the ceiling. Armchairs and couches were arranged to create private areas throughout the dining area. The crew had chosen a table and chairs for the job at hand. Nev had the laptop booted up for a long day of fishing. Max had his hand held ready to go.
Nev set the scene up with a short-but biased-recap. "Alright. So Jordan. This is a 34 year old guy who is talking to the sweetest 27 year old girl."
        "Sketchy," Max commented.
"Super sketchy. But whatever. Not for us to judge. Let's just see if this guy is the guy in the photos."
"Let's start with the photos. See if we can find a match or if they are original."
Nev went to Jordan's Instagram. He reverse image searched the earliest post. The result came back with no match. He tried another. Nothing. And another. Nothing. Nev face palmed.
"Okay. This was to be expected. Lucy said she tried this herself and got nothing," Max stated.
"True," Nev conceded. "But I wonder if she tried any of the older posts." His eyes narrowed with determination, Nev scrolled down to one of Jordan's earliest posts. He grabbed the image and searched it.
The laptop screen gave them the result they were hoping for. They raised their arms in victory.
       "Boom! Got him!" Nev yelled.
"Hold on! Hold on!" Max blurted over Nev's yells. "Look at the last name."
Nev calmed down and went back to studying the screen before him. "W*******. That's familiar. Why is that familiar?" With a puzzled look, he turned to Max.
"That's Jordan's last name.... So is this guy real?" Max mused.
"He has 400 followers," Nev pointed out. He scrolled down through the profile linked to the photo. "I mean, these are obviously this guy's. Let's send him a message."
Nev typed out the typical message they sent in the past- explaining who they are, what they're doing, and how this person fit into the investigation now.
"Let's look this guy up on Facebook while we wait," Max prompted.
Nev searched the new name, Tyler W*******. A few profiles came up. The top two were older men. The third lacked a profile picture. The fourth matched the Instagram photos.
       "Boom!" Max cried. "Got him!"
Nev high-fived Max. "Alright. I have a plan. We search the phone number. See if it's listed as a friend of Tyler."
"Good thinking," Max admitted. "She did say in her first email that it was under someone else's name."
"Someone that might know Tyler?" Max and Nev shrugged.
Nev typed in the phone number. Max turned his hand held camera from the screen to pan the room for a moment. Then he turned it back to the screen. Nev hit GO on the search.
"Debbie T*****" the screen read.
"Okay. Now check Tyler's friends on Facebook for Debbie T******," Max instructed. He bounced in his chair in anticipation.
After a few clicks here and there, Nev had it pulled up. "Here we go. Debbie T******. She's listed as his mother!" Nev exclaimed. He turned his focus from the laptop to Max. The co-hosts wore matching shocked expressions.
"But Lucy said it couldn't be a woman. She's spoken on the phone to him," Max said.
"I don't know. We've seen women be fooled by a voice over the phone before," Nev reminded him.
"I still don't think so. It could be another relative still. Someone on their phone plan. Check for other family members."
Nev scrolled more. "There is a half-brother. He's.... 34." Max and Nev shared a look.
"It's totally him," Max stated, shaking his head in amazement. "What's his name?"
       "Jeff T*******."
Max rubbed the back of his neck. "Okay. This guy looks like a Catfish. I don't mean to judge him based on looks but.... He looks super sketchy."
"All signs lead to Jeff. I'm looking and I'm not seeing any other possibilities." Exasperated, Nev shook his head. "I mean, it could be a random person on here that we're missing. But all signs point to this guy," Nev pointed at the profile picture staring back at them.
Max sat back in his seat. He suddenly looked tired, deflated, broken down. "Jordan lied to Lucy. So we call her? Show her what we found?"
Nev frowned. "Yeah. You were right. Now we have to break the bad news to her. Hopefully not break her heart."
