The Monkees arrive to Chicago for a week of performing two concerts in front of screaming teenagers, as well as recording music videos for their new songs.
Monday night, after a long day of rehearsals, the boys venture back to their hotel on Michigan Avenue, and Michael decides to get a quick bite to eat. It's around 11pm, and there is nothing really open besides the hotel lounge. He wanted to get away from the guys, so he walked down a few blocks to the "Mag Mile Diner," a quaint little place with white Formica tables and turquoise vinyl booths. Something about the look of the restaurant had a hometown Texas feel to it, so he thought that was a good sign.
From the looks of it, the diner looked empty as well, which he was relieved to see. He didn't feel like fighting off fans or wearing a disguise so he could get some good ole privacy.
As he walked in, a cute blonde about 20-years-old with a short bob haircut and blue-green eyes that matched her turquoise uniform, greeted Michael with a warm smile and asked "Hi, is it just you tonight?"
Michael looked at her slyly and said "Yes ma'am, I believe so."
She grabbed a menu and looked back at  Michael and said "Right this way, sir," as she smiled again, exposing her right cheek dimple.
As he followed the waitress to his table, he couldn't help but admire the way her hips moved and how her butt looked in her tiny skirt, her muscular, tan calves gliding them along.
"Here ya go. Can I get you something to drink?"
"Yes, I'll have a glass of milk please."

June walked behind the counter to grab a glass. One of the other waitresses, Tilly, had a look of glee on her face and whispered excitedly, poking her in the arm "Do you even know who is sitting at your table?"
She looked up at Michael who was studying the menu.
"Nope. Not a clue."
"What? How could you not? He's a Monkee."
"Monkey? Well, he looks pretty human to me."
"Oh, June, stop it! Did you get your nose out of the books long enough last year to watch the number one show on tv? Not to mention they have a hit record."
June looked over at Tilly, rolled her eyes, and said "Oh, please! Last year all I did was eat, sleep, study, and date. I didn't have time for immature tv shows like The Monkees."
"I bet your little sister knows who they are!"
"Great, then maybe he can give me an autograph!"
June walked over to Michael's table and set down his milk.
"Thank you ma'am."
"Are you from Texas?"
Michael blushed a little and said in a heavy twang "Why yes I am. Why ya askin?"
"Oh, no reason. We just don't get a lot of Texans visiting Chicago."
"Oh really? And where do people usually visit from?"
"Mostly the surrounding states, like Wisconsin, or Michigan. Anyways, it's just nice to hear a different accent, that's all."
"Yeah, it's nice to hear your accent too."
"I have an accent?"
"Well, I mean, yeah, it's cute."
June blushed.
"So, what'll ya have, Tex?"
Michael laughed.
"Well, how about a Reuben with fries."
"You got it," June said as she smiled and took his menu away. She spun around to walk away and she felt a hand on her elbow.
"Excuse me, ma'am, but I didn't get your name, since you're callin' me Tex and all," Michael said, with a sarcastic smile.
"It's June."
"Alright then, Junebug."
She made a look of disgust and said "Yuck! I hate that name, so many horrible childhood memories!"
"Okay then, what would you like me to call you?"
"Well, I looked up the origin of my name and it means "Queen of the Gods."
"Alrighty, Queenie," Michael said as he gave her a flirtatious wink.
'The nerve of this guy,' June thought as she walked away, trying to hide her dimples from him as she smiled.
