*Blake's POV*
I looked back not forgetting what just happened. I ran from the town that I left behind trying to forget the town that I would never see again. I clutched my sisters hand as I led her through the woods not stopping. I was panting but kept going. My sister started complaining and slowing down but we kept going. I knew we wouldn't be back but part of me wanted to stay at the one place I knew.
I urged Midnight to keep going and not look back but I couldn't even follow my own advice. You hippocrit I thought. I never understood why we were different. Sure we looked different but we didn't choose too be this way. She would still be the same... just in "a new layer of paint" like an old house, different looks but still the same place. The world is cruel like that. Always taunting you with something you can't have. Friends, families, money, acceptance...
My sister Midnight was crying by now and I knew we had to rest. We sat down and I tried to comfort her. "Its okay Midnight. I'm here. You will be safe just remember... Don't tell anyone about what you are. Your different they don't understand you because of that."
