Chapter 4: First Time Together

Tuesday, November 21, 2017 - Miami Beach, Florida

11:45 AM

Desi POV

"So, you want me at a New Years party?"
"Yes, will that be a problem?"
"Nah, that's fine."
"I know you wanted to go home for then but how about I fly you back to North Carolina for Christmas because you're my favorite girl and you never let me down."
"Awh, Geraldine, you don't have to do that, I've already booked my ticket when you told me I get Christmas and Christmas Eve off."
"Alrighty then, just let me know if you need anything because you were supposed to have New Years off too."
"G, it's fine, I promise, chill. So, I've got a party this Saturday night and one Monday night, both of them penthouse parties down the street."
"Yup, one that Cam Newton is throwing and one for some young rich and irresponsible investor; ironic, I know. Make sure you show them a good time."
"Always. I'll talk to you later, yeah?"
"Of course, take care."
"You too."

I hang up with my boss and finish washing the dishes in the sink. Today was just a chill day for me and I was definitely enjoying it coming off of all the excitement of Carnival weekend. I finally finish cleaning the kitchen of my modest Miami Beach apartment that I pay a pretty Miami Beach penny for; the price of living here is so expensive that you pay an arm and a leg for a basic-ass one bedroom starter apartment, but I make it work.

I plop down on my sofa and turn on the TV to watch some Netflix until...

*DING*DING*DONG*

"Of course someone wants to stop by uninvited right when I get ready to watch Luke Cage, why not?" I pout to myself and walk over to answer the front door.

I open the door and squeal in excitement as I'm enveloped in Joe's tight and warm embrace. I hop up onto him, wrapping my legs around him, and kiss him as he rolls his two luggage bags inside and shuts the door before he sets me down and holds my face to deepen the kiss. I break the kiss and smile up at him as I hold his large hands sitting on my small blushing cheeks.

"Joe, you came!"
"Of course I came, baby. I told you I'd make time for you. Got done with work before eleven last and caught a two AM flight here. My quickest option had a three hour layover but it's all worth it to come see you my Rainbow Queen."

He kisses me again and I giggle into the kiss before leading him upstairs to my bedroom.

"Oh my God, Joe, you're amazing."
"I'd do anything for you, baby; I mean it."

Turning around to face him again, I hold his hands in mine and tiptoe up to kiss his nose.

"How long you stayin'?" I ask leading him to the bedroom.
"Well, I've got the rest of today and all of tomorrow but I'll be leaving around midnight to get home to the fam, y'know."
"Yeah, well, let's enjoy ourselves. You'll be sleeping with me, obvi."
"Mmm, I wanna do a whole lot more than sleep with you in this bed." He says as he gently pushes me down on my bed.
"Mmm, I'm not stopping you." I say and pull him down to my lips. We moan together and I pull his leather jacket off of him and he wraps me up in his muscular arms, dragging me further into bed with him. He pulls away and looks down at me with concern on his face.
