The Sage

A forgotten Sage in a rediscovered land
Stands so tall in light and truth.
But yet his teachings fall on deaf ears
For no one has conquered their fears
To hear his words of wisdom.

His words, a beacon of light,
Gives most a measure of fright
For they do not want to hear
These lessons of valor,
Enough to save the hour.

The one who listens to take the place,
Of the sage, to give wisdom to a new age.
To carry knowledge will be a burden,
of being alone, that's for certain.
