We started off (again) for the wolf's cave. Except that this time someone actually knew where to go. We walked for about 15 minutes before Goldie said, "here we are."

"Thanks Goldie." I said. Then we walked into the cave, there was a short hallway we had to go through before we made it to the room where we found the wolf sleeping. We slowly walked in. When we got into the big room we saw Sammy! He had a rope tied around his waist and was hovering over a large pot of boiling water! We crept past the sleeping wolf and moved the big pot over so if Sammy fell he wouldn't fall into it, but as soon as we moved it about 5 inches, the wolf woke up.

We were terrified, well at least Ben and I were. I thought for sure we would become the breakfast and lunch to for the wolf. I stood next to Ben trembling. Ben's face was frozen, he looked paralyzed. I was to. Little Red just hid. Goldie picked up a big, sharp stick, she was the only one not afraid of the wolf. The wolf was still stretching when she charged and bonked him on the head, knocking him out.

"Nice job, Goldie," said Sammy, "now could you get me down from here?!"

We quickly moved the pot trying not to spill the water. It wasn't fast enough because we got it halfway moved when Joe woke back up.

"What are you doing?" said Joe wolf.

"Saving my brother!" I said.

"Get out of my cave or I'll throw you in with him!"

"That's not very nice" said Goldie with a grin.

"It's not supposed to be!"

"Well you should try to be nicer to your guests, doesn't seem like you get a lot of them."

"Wow, thanks for the advice. Now get out of my cave!"

"No."

"What did you just say to me?"

"I said, No."

Goldie seemed to be the only one brave enough (maybe ever) to say no to Joe wolf. I sure wouldn't. Which is why Ben, Little Red, and I, were perfectly fine with letting Goldie do all the talking.

"No One has ever said 'no' to me before. You must think you're pretty brave right now." said Joe.

"Why not, you just said I was." snapped Goldie.

"No I did not!"

"Kinda. So anyways, why has no one ever said 'no' to you before?"

"Maybe because they're-"

"Too scared of you?"

"Yes"

"And why do you think that is?"

"Because, um, i'm a wolf."

"Just 'cause you're a wolf means you have to scare everyone?"

"I never tried to, eventually I just got so used to people being scared of me, I thought I was supposed to be."

At that moment, I saw something in the wolf's eye. I thought it just might have been, fear.

"You never tried to be scary?" I finally asked

"No."

"Where's your family?" Ben asked, his question shocked me. I had never really thought about it, Joe had to have a family. We never saw him with anyone. He was the only wolf I ever knew.

"I never knew them." Joe answered.

I then realized he never had a family, and everyone in town was scared of him. No one really thought a wolf had feelings. Not even me.

"I'm so sorry." said Little Red.

"So, I can see this is a really touching moment and all, but can you please get me down from here!" Sammy said. We had kinda forgotten he was still hanging over part of the pot.

"Sorry Sammy!" we said.

"I'll get him down," said Joe.

So he went over and pushed the giant pot over, so when Sammy came down he wouldn't fall in. Then he went over to a lever and slowly lowered it till Sammy touched the floor with his hoofs.

"Thanks!" Sammy said, and gave Joe a hug.

Joe looked so happy now. I think we made a new friend.
