^^~~~ RYAN'S POV ~~~^^

"Alpha, may I enter?" Aaron asked from the door as he knocked.

I looked up from my paperwork, his addressing me as "Alpha" indicating that he meant business.

"You may" I said slipping into the Alpha role, as he entered and took a seat on one of the chairs on the other side of my desk. "What is it?"

"Nothing much, I was going back home with Caroline, so I wanted to know if you are planning to conduct the training session tomorrow as it's a weekend?" There was a rather hopeful tone to his question.

"No, inform the Pack that there is no training session tomorrow," his face lit up, "but I will see you all on Sunday, sharp at 10 in the morning! And before you ask, yes, you have a day off from Beta duties tomorrow," I smiled.

"I love you bro!" Aaron beamed. "Thank you so much!"

"You deserve it. You have been working tirelessly. But," I put on my stern face back again, "I expect you to report to me if I need you!"

"Certainly! Well, bro, got plans with my mate! See you later!" Aaron got up from his seat infront of me and headed towards the door.

"I call dibs on the 'Godfather' title!" I smirked.

"There's no one else dude! Not now, though!" Aaron smirked back as he closed the door shut.

Huh! Lost my touch with teasing him these days!

I got back grudgingly to the ginormous accounts held in my hand which I'd been tackling since two hours.
Now that I was the Alpha, everything had fallen into my hands. The entire Pack and the entire business - the charitable trusts, the restaurants, the resorts, the schools, the training centers and loads of other things were mine now.

I had no problem shouldering my own responsibility, but I do miss being able to do whatever I please without being pulled in different directions. It makes me respect my Dad more. He had been an awesome Alpha, making everything look so effortless.

As if on cue, there was a knock on my door followed by my Dad's voice, "Can I speak to you for a moment, son?"

"Sure dad!" I abandoned my paperwork and rounded the desk, taking a seat on the sofa, indicating him to take the other one.

He smiled as he seated himself, a proud smile which now seemed to have taken residence on his face. He hardly looked at me with any other expression these days, and it makes me feel warm from the inside.

"How are you, son?" He asked, leaning back on the sofa.

I found this question rather odd, because werewolves can't get sick and he'd have known if I was injured in training. "I'm good, Dad."

"Adjusted well, I see! I knew you would! Trained you well, haven't I?" He said, looking around the Alpha office that was his two days earlier.

I got the impression that he was stalling. He hardly ever talked about anything else if he had business.
