This one I came up with while listening to Kiss It All Better by He Is We. It's for Bookie's Home series. It's actually about the possible future in her story if Alice fails.

So if you're not that far, GET OUT! DON'T READ THIS!

If you wish to read, continue.

LISTEN TO THE SONG AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!!

It affects the feels more.

Hope you enjoy.

"No Alice please. God please no."

Matthew had tears streaming down his face as he held the love of his life in his arms.

Alfred had been paranoid about everything for months and he suddenly went berserk and stormed their house, killing two of their kids and wounding Alice deeply.

"Mattie, it's not your fault. It's mine." She gasped, trying to get air into her lungs.

"How is this your fault? Alice none of this is your fault!"

"Yes it is. I failed...to defeat the darkness. And it consumed Alfred."

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" Tears ran harder as the hole in Alice's stomach bled even more.

"I didn't want you to worry. But if I failed this would have happened either way. There was no stopping it after I couldn't defeat the darkness."

Her hands were cold as he kissed her forehead.

"It's going to be alright."

"Mattie...."

He looked at her as tears started to run down her face from pain.

"Kiss it all better; I'm not ready to go. It's not your fault, love, you didn't know."

Mattie looked at the gun that lay on the floor after Alfred dropped it.

Alice lay bleeding as Mattie begged her to stay awake.

"Please Alice, stay awake. You can't leave me."

"I'm sorry Mattie. I...I can't..."

"Alice no. Please, no!"

Her eyes closed as she stopped breathing and Matthew broke down in tears.

"No! Alice, no! Please don't leave me! I...I need you..."

He cried, running his hand through her blood soaked hair.

"Don't go..."

.    .    .

Well that certainly gave me feels.

Even though it's short, I had to stop halfway through typing it I couldn't see the keyboard I was crying so hard.

Okay, I was listening to the song at the same time. Even if the song doesn't really fit to the story.
