Sunny days, and new meetings

Y/n stared at the sky admiring all the clouds before she heard heard rapid footsteps coming towards her. She looked down and saw an auburn haired boy being chased by a few other kids. Y/n thinking fast on her feet tried to solve the problem.
"Deeeeeeeeeeaaaarrrrr!" She called in a sing song voice.
The boys turned to face her including the auburn haired kid who all looked at a loss for words.
"Honey..... uh....... where... uh... have.... you been?" Y/n said walking over quickly trying to act confident. She draped her arm over the boys shoulder and started subtly pulling him away. "I mean... you forgot our date," y/n thought about it for a second. "You..... look all beaten up.... uhhm," Y/n looked over at the bulkier boys who were chasing him. "Who are these people?"
The boy looked at y/n then at the boys and back at y/n before smiling.
"Uh. Yeah, this is (random guy names). I know how much you hate it when I get beat up... so we were going for... for a jog?"
Y/n smiled confused, and mentally smacked her head. 'How stupid does he think these boys are? I mean really, jogging?' "Oh... um... alright dear," y/n smiled and dragged the auburn haired boy off.
Once the two were out of ear shot of the other boys y/n leaning in.
"You're welcome," y/n said quietly.
"Oh. Uh. Heh. Thanks?" The auburn haired said.
The two continued walking until they couldn't even see the boys.
"I'm y/n" y/n stretching out an arm to offer a hand shake.
"Oh I'm matt," he said a light blush tinting his cheeks.
"Nice to meet you. And you owe me," y/n said flatly, and continued walking.
"Oh," matt said watching the girl leave before
looking down at his phone. "Oh my gosh I was suppose to meet Shiro half an hour ago!
