I'm really sorry I haven't added any new parts to the Oneshots series in a long time. So I hope you can forgive me with this cute lil fluff.

You and Pidge were good friends growing up. It was an odd type of friendship. You loved nature, while Pidge loved computers; complete opposites. You would often go over to pidge's house for homework and offer to help spruce up her room with plants and even started a garden in their backyard. One thing you didn't understand was the fact pidge's brother matt would often follow you around and offer to help when you were in the garden; which you politely declined. Matt would then make up excuses to help you even though you said no, but after a while he stopped asking to help and constantly stayed in his room.
"Hey, y/n we're eating dinner soon. Can you get matt?" Mrs. holt asked kindly starting to set the table.
"Uhh yeah sure." You looked down at the aloe plant in your hand that you were taking care of at the moment. You carefully put it down and made your way to Matt's room.
"Hey matt. Dinners read-" you open Matt's door to see a bunch of plants all around his room. "Whoa,"
Matt quickly looked up from his plant experiment he was working on and over to you.
"Uhhhhhh!!! Y/n?!!!?!! What are you doing here?" Matt quickly looks around his room before standing up and rushing over to you trying to push you out.
"Matt Uhh. I came to get you for dinner," you put your foot in the door just as Matt was closing it. "What are YOU doing?"
Matt quickly looked behind him before sighing. "Can you tell my mom I'll be down in a minute?"
You stare at him a second before shoving the door open and walking in. "I didn't know you liked plants..."
Matt annoyingly signed and looked out his door.
"I also.... are you experimenting on this plant???" You harshly turned around with furrowed brows.
"No! I mean... yes. I am. But it's not why you thi-"
"Save it." You stomp your foot on the ground and pointing a finger. "How could you do that to the poor thing?" You look over at the plant solemnly.
"What? No!! I... i was making it better!" Matt quickly rushes past you and picks up the bromeliads. "I was trying to discover how to preserve it for longer amount of time..."
You raise your eyebrow before stepping closer to matt. "Why?"
Matt looked over at you shyly. "Cause I wanted to give them to you,"
You slightly opened your mouth and stare at the boy.
"I! I mean!! Frick. I.... I mean it doesn't have to be a romantic gesture.... but I just. I mean it was suppose to be,"
You look down at the plant and then to the ones encasing his room.
Matt looked down ashamedly. "They all were. I just thought since I'm going to kuberos... you could have these to remember me by,"
You look up at matt with sweet eyes. "Thanks."
Matt smiles a little before standing up and awkwardly coughing. "We should go to dinner," matt then takes your hand and starts moving towards the door.
"Uh Hey matt?"
Matt turned his head towards you and smiled. "Uh yeah?"
You lean up and place a kiss on his cheek. "I'm going to miss you,"
Matt frowned a second before cupping your cheek and leaning in, kissing you on the lips. "And I'm gonna miss you more,"
You hit Matt's shoulder running past him down the steps. "I'm gonna miss you most!!"
