Waiting

I sat on the bench down my local park. Hands in lap, playing with my fingers. I look down at my Dan and Phil top that I'd hastily put on after a lot of debate an hour before; regretting my decision. Why did I wear their merch? I'm gonna look crazy they will probably change their mind once they see me and go spend time with some other fan instead. It was silly really to think that they would enjoy spending time with me, I should just go.
I bent down to pick my rucksack up to go when I heard a familiar voice. Too late.
"Hello are you Amelia?"
I looked up into the deep brown eyes of Daniel Howell and my breath caught in my throat.
"Um, well.. I mean.. yeah." Great. I already embarrassed myself. Why can't you just make a sentence? Honestly they probably think your stupid now.
"Don't be nervous! We're nice I promise! Plus if we're going to be spending a month together it won't be very fun if we're awkward. Trust Dan isn't great with new people either. I know! Let's play an ice breaker game! I have a great idea on what to play!" Phil barely took a breath as he spoke it came out so fast but it did make me let out a slight giggle.
I stood up and grabbed my bag and said "sure though it's freezing out here, let's go back to my house and then we can play your game to get to know each other" and thus I led the way with them following behind in a comfortable silence and there began the best month of my bloody life.
