"Now THAT is why you should never eat vegetables with salad dressing!" Jenny stands up from the lunch table and bows to all of us sitting.
"Anyways, are you going to enroll in drama again this year?" Jenny asks me as she slides back down in her seat. I nod happily and fish for a cucumber in my meal.
"What sort of question is that? Obviously! You know how I am about horse riding, drama is the same." I pick on my food making me not very hungry. I love horse riding and drama; they were my hobbies. You could either find me in a theatre playing around on stage with my friends, or at a stable taking care of Sunshine, my eight year old horse.
"Come to my exhibitions, I'll come to your plays." Jenny extends her pinky for me to link mine with and shake. I giggle and shake on it; I actually love Jenny's art! It's like the rainbow on a canvas made by human hands.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," I wink at her and sit back upright.
"Oh my god, talk about 101 hottie material!" Maya shrieks from next to me. I turn to her, seeing as she is looking straight past me, at something behind my head. I follow her gaze, which turns out to be the new guy I came across during math. I roll my eyes under my lashes; I don't really understand why girls are already so attracted to him this easily, I get that he has looks that kills, but he might just be an ordinary high school cocky teen.
"Kelsey ma homie! Make space for your fans, mademoiselle." I hear Hugo's raspy voice, sounding like he drank one too many breezers this morning.
"How are you doing this fine morning, Hugo the rhino?" I imitate his voice cracks which makes Maya giggle next to me.
"Funny. Doing fine though, thanks. Have you met Aiden?" Hugo asks and points to the model or new guy as I would say.
"We go way way back, don't we, Aiden?" I say in a sarcastic tone. A spark of amusement in his eyes shine and thankfully, he plays along.
"God cute blonde! Missed you!" Aiden leans on Hugo and pretends to look exhausted and...sad. He was NOT a good actor.
"Blonde? Frankly, I'm DIRTY blonde, and the name is Kelsey!" I shoot him a glare that makes him smirk behind Hugo's shoulder. I feel Maya quietly shift behind me, which totally reminds me that Jenny and Maya have been here this whole time,
"Oh and over here is Maya, and across is Jenny." I motion to both of them. I see from the corner of my eye that Maya blushes a deep red when Aiden smiled at her. That was a subject to talk about tonight.
"Hello young fellows, wish I could stay and chit chat, but if I want this exhibition to happen, I should work on it. Bye girls, and boys!" Jenny gets up, blows a kiss and heads back into the school building. I wave goodbye to her and shift to my right for Aiden and Hugo to sit between Maya and I.
"So.. You like the school so far..?"Maya squeaks out, barely audible for me to hear. Aiden turns his head and his lips twitch upwards to form a dazzling smile; what can I say? He has looks.
"School's been pretty good, really liking people here." He gives me a quick glance and looks back at Maya. I couldn't help but shake my head, who does he think he is?
"Maybe the people don't like you back here." I wiggle my eyebrows quickly and he lets out a small laugh. "No, I'm sadly serious, the guys from the football table keep eyeing you like you stole their girl." I point to Mikael's table not even having to turn my head to know they were staring. Aiden looks past my head and a smile creeps onto his facial features.
"Isn't that your boyfriend? Not gonna lie, he made a good choice but so did you!" Aiden says in a shocked tone. I, confused, because last time I checked, my boyfriend and I were done last year. I raise an eyebrow to Aiden and he just nudges to Mikael. I let out a sort of laugh, sounded like a scream though.
"Mikael? My boyfriend? Psh, you wish! I know too much about him for us to have a normal non-awkward relationship." I tilt my head to one side to prove my point, and I see Maya chuckling from the corner of my eye. I get up, take my tray and get my bag pack.
"I'm going to go find Jenny, I'll catch up with you guys after school or something, lates." I wave and quickly go back into the corridors, but as I pushed open the doors, I see a figure following me.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
"He's heck good looking isn't he?" I quickly turn back and see Mikael leaned onto a locker. I let out a sigh and start walking over to him but he pushes himself off the lockers and pushes me with his body around a wall.
"What the actua-" My rage button was being hammered onto, but Mikael just put his finger on my lips, indicating for me to stay silent. I hear footsteps coming from the hallway, and distant murmurs.
"It's not my fault you're so good looking, you could make a whole cheerleading team forget their dance with just one glare.." I recognized that voice from anywhere; Maya.
"Ah well, whoops, hah." Aiden said uncomfortably. "Well, I'm going to get ready for class, catch you later." I see Aiden walk off to the opposite direction and let out a breath. Mikael checks around him and quickly pushes himself off of me. I look up to him and a red tint climbed onto his cheeks, how cute.
"You're cute when you blush, but keep it for someone else, handsome." I wink and laugh which makes him blush even more. I wave off and head to class to finish this painful day.
