Holding my heart,
Close to despair.
I left my heart
Close to the brink of disaster.
You broke me
More than I can handle.
I'm alone.
Forever at peace.
I gave you my heart,
My life, and my soul.
What do I get in return?
A stab in the back
And an arrow through the heart.
I'm numb now.
I don't know how to feel.
A broken heart does that.
Where do I go now?
Who can I trust?
Now that my trust is broken,
I can't trust anyone it seems like.
Everyone I once held dear
Leaves in the blink of an eye.
I come to terms
With the hurt inside my heart.
It's come to be
My closest friend.
