Chapter 4

When Alex woke up, she was laying down next to Wes.

"Good morning beautiful." Wes said.

Alex rubbed her eyes. "Hi, baby. How long were you awake?"

"For about ten minutes. I'll go to the kitchen and get coffee for us." he offered.

Alex nodded her head and they kissed.

He went downstairs and Alex followed. She turned on the tv in the living room and sat on the couch.

Wes made two cups of coffee and went to go sit down next to Alex. He handed her the cup of coffee.

He hugged her, holding his cup.

Alex rested her head on his shoulder.

They heard a knock at the door and Alex opened it. It was Keaton at the door.

"Hi!" Alex said.

"Hey! Um, I thought we could study?" Keaton asked.

Alex said, "Sure."

Alex grabbed a snack and they started studying. Wes was listening to music and then he went up to Alex's room.

He saw a guitar and started playing. He sang one of the songs that he had written with Drew. It was called "Sunset Boulevard."

Keaton and Alex heard him sing and they went up to her room.

"Babe, that was great!" Alex said.

"Babe?" Keaton asked, confused. He acted as if he hadn't seen them kiss the last day.

"Oh yeah, dude, me and Alex are dating!" Wes confessed while wrapping his arms around Alex and kissing her on the cheek.

Keaton looked shocked. "Wow, I guess you guys are in love."

Inside of him, Keaton was trying not to punch Wes.

Keaton and Alex started studying again and soon they were done.

Wes told them that he had to go.

"Do you want to go get Froyo?" Keaton asked Alex.

Alex nodded her head and she went up to her room to change.

She wore black cropped jeans and a black muscle tee that said "Starbucks. She put her brunette hair up in a high ponytail.

"Ready?" Keaton asked as Alex came down the stairs.

"Ready."

Keaton opened his car door for Alex. She got in and so did Keaton.

They drive to Yogurtland.

When they got there, Alex and Keaton spotted Wes kissing another girl.

Alex stood shocked and then ran to the car.

"Wait, Alex!" Keaton called to her.

Wes heard the name Alex and knew that she had seen them.

He ran to catch up to the car, but they were already gone.

Alex was wiping down tears in the car.

Alex cried but not hard crying.

"It'll all be okay." Keaton hugged her and kissed her forehead.

She looked up.

He was so close to her lips.

And that's when it happened.

They kissed and Alex felt better. They kissed for a long time.

Alex finally let go.

"I think I have an idea who that girl was. Carly, his ex. She has been chasing him for a long time." Keaton said.

She wiped the tears. They heard a knock. Keaton went to open it.

"What do you want?" Keaton asked angrily.

"I want to explain what happened!" Wes said.

Keaton let Wes in.

Wes went to go kiss her, but she refused.

"Speak." Keaton crossed his arms.

Wes started explaining, "Carly, the girl that kissed me, has been chasing me for a long time. She found me and she suggested we should

talk. That's why I left. She had texted me. We talked and then I wanted to come back to you. But, when I came outside, she chased me

and she kissed me by surprise. That's when you guys came at the wrong moment. I'm so sorry, baby. You know I love you! Will you

forgive me?"

Alex got up and hugged him. She cupped his face with her hands not at all hard and kissed him.

"I love you, but, I think we made a bad decision. We should just wait for a little while and then we'll date?" Alex suggested.

"No, babe. I love you." Wes said. He grabbed her waist and kissed her once more.

Alex kissed him back, "I love you too, and I don't want to leave you, but we have to. For now?"

Wes nodded his head.

Wes and Keaton went home. It was Tuesday so Alex was watching "Pretty Little Liars."

Alex thought about the kiss that she had with Keaton. It felt magical, she thought.

She realized that she wanted to kiss Keaton again.

She heard a knock and thought it was her mom.

It wasn't. In fact, it was Keaton.

"Hi." Keaton said. He walked in.

Alex walked over to him and did something that she wanted to do.

She kissed him and he kissed her back too.
