“Mommy, you also have to buy a new swimsuit for yourself,” Janna told Moira while they were shopping in a mall for the little girl’s swimwear.
“Of course I will,” Moira said, smiling. She took a couple of bathing suits and examined them. “But first, we have to choose the nicest swimsuit for you.”
“Okay….uhm…Mommy, can we invite Teacher Raffie, too?”
“In Siargao?”
“Yes.”
Moira nodded right away. “Well, I’ll try to ask her first if she’s free next weekend,” she replied.
“Sana she can come with us, too. I want to give her a swimsuit. Can we buy her one?”
“Even if we’re not yet sure if she can go with us?”
“Yes, Mommy. It’s my thank you gift for her,” Janna declared with excitement. “Do you think she likes swimsuits?”
“I think so, darling. But I guess we have to call her up first and try to invite her. Sige, let’s just finish shopping for your swimwear and then we’ll call her up, okay?”
“Okay po, Mommy,” Janna replied obediently as she continued to choose different swimsuits on the rack.

“Himala, nagyaya ka ngayon,” Raffie joked as Louie called her up to say that she wanted them to spend some time tomorrow evening in a restobar.
“Basta Chum, ha, sunduin mo ako sa office tomorrow by six. Tagal na kaya natin na hindi nagbo-bonding,” Louie told her best friend. “Dress up prettily, okay? May open mic night kase doon bukas, subukan natin.”
“Out of town si Harvey, ano?”
“May event sa Batangas at sya yung DJ dun.”
“Kaya ka naman pala nag-invite, eh.”
“Grabe ka, Chum, ha! Syempre miss na kita, gusto ko mag-bonding tayo.”
“Ikaw lang naman ang palaging busy, eh. Kung di kayo out of town ni Harvey nagde-date naman kayo. Eh sa church na nga lang tayo halos nagkikita lately.”
“Selos ka ba?” Louie said, laughing. “Yung out of town naman naming dalawa sa work yun, ah. Syempre kase nag-tie up kami so pagka may i-oorganize akong event sya yung mag-di-DJ kung kailangan sa party kaya madalas kaming magkasama.”
“Sabihin mo ayaw nyo na talagang maghiwalay.”
“Hindi ka na ba nakaka-relate, Chum?” Louie teased her friend as she continued to laugh. “Tama na yang selos na yan, makipag-date ka na rin kase ulet. Gusto mo mag-invite ako ng ka-date mo bukas? Sino gusto mo, si prof o si sir?”
“Sige na, sige na, tayong dalawa lang. Bawal ang boys…o, tumatawag si Achi, sasagutin ko muna. I’ll just pick you up tomorrow after ng classes ko.”
“Achi? Ate ni Sir? …Ok, enjoy talking to your possible future sis-in-law!”
“Kulet talaga nitong kaibigan kong ito,” Raffie muttered as she ended her conversation with Louie and answered Moira immediately. “Achi, hi!”
