Matthew's POV

I saw Taylor and Kennedy at the store today.

Kennedy's so beautiful.

I was looking at her and how happy she was with Taylor, and Hailey snapped me out of my trance.

I'm so glad she didn't see me gazing at Kennedy.

"Matt! This would be adorable for our kid!" Hailey said.

"Yes! That would be perfect. Problem is, we haven't gone to our check-up yet. Girl or boy?"

"Let's just guess it's a girl."

"Uh-huh. Sure. I have the stronger genes."

"Matthew, you don't even know what genes are."

"I may not be as smart as you, but any dumb person could describe what a gene is." We both broke into laughter.

I decided to text Kennedy.

Wonder if this is still her number

Me:

To: KenBear.😍 (I should've really changed the contact name when I started dating Hailey...)

Hey Kennedy!

She texted back ten minutes later.

Kennedy:

What do you want Matthew?

Hallelujah! It's still her number.

Me:

To: KenBear.😍

Can I apologize for all the things I've ever caused you? Like pain and such? I feel like a complete asshole for leaving you for Hailey, and getting her knocked up. I miss you, KenBear.

She texted back immediately.

Kennedy:

You can apologize all you want, Matty. Doesn't mean I'll forgive you. You caused me hell and I'll never forget it. Plus, Iloveyou.✋

Kennedy:

Guess not.

"Hey, babe." Hailey said as she walked in.

"Oh hey."

"Who ya texting?" Hailey said in her 'cute -- I wanna know' voice.

"Oh, no one." I said and put my phone down on the desk and walked to the bathroom.

As I was walking to the bathroom, I realized I just left my phone with my jealous pregnant girlfriend. Shit.

I ran back out.

"Really?? KENBEAR?!"

"Hailey..."

"No, shutup Matthew. Get the hell out of here."

I did as she said. She needs her space, I need mine.
