Day Four

"If she can hear but not talk then this will work," I thought to myself as I pressed the green start button.
The noise of the printer stopped, I picked up the lukewarm paper and nodded my head in agreement. I could feel my heart beating out of my stomach. I began to walk to the bench. Today she was wearing an army-green sweater with a black scarf, grey leggings and coffee colored Uggs.
"Hi!" I exclaimed. She pointed to her throat then drew an X on it with her dark, majestic purple finger nails. "I know." I showed her the paper of the ASL alphabet. She smiled then spelled out, "I A M S O H A P P Y N O O N E H A S E V E R D O N E T H I S F O R M E."
"I'm glad to be the first." I said.
She hugged me, and signed, "Y D I D U W A N T T O T A L K T O M E?"
"Because you are beautiful." I signed, i was waiting for her to ask me, I stayed up all night just to learn how to sign it. She turned away blushing.
