"I Am From"

I am from the country,

From cookies and cinnamon,

I am from mud fights in the rain,

I am from kickball during a storm,

From snowball fights on a snow day,

From four wheeling on trails,

I am from climbing trees,

I am from the oak trees in the backyard,

From books and the little toy box,

I am from Donna's and Rosemary's tree,

I'm from the family that is crazy,

From the rednecks to the city slickers.

I am from bahumbug and sledding,

From the moon goddess,

I am from the sage burning,

I am from adventures in the woods,

I am from the screaming and breaking of plates,

From the slamming of doors and yelling,

From the walking away,

From the apologies and hugs,

I am from the love I share,

From the love I have for my boyfriend,

I am from the hugs and kisses,

From the nicknames,

From the little arguments,

To the sorries and the it's ok,

From the happiness,

But in the end I am from love.
