My Life in One Year

Chapter 1: The first day of high school

Freshmen year my first year of high school. My name is Bethany Hildebrandt it's my first year of high school how do I feel like I've been hit by a truck and I forgot everything in the crash and next thing I know they are throwing me here in the SRSS (Stienbach Regional Secondary School) and I remember the first day of high school very clearly.

I remember I walked in the school seeing hundreds of grade nines. There was only grade nines that day because the teachers thought it might be easier for us to adjust to the school if they made us start school a day early then the rest of the grades, so there where only grade nines. I remember walking in there thinking some of these grade nines are really tall and big wondering if they where even grade nines. But then again everyone is tall to me I'm only 5.0 feet standing so I'm pretty short witch made it that much harder to find my friends. I started to wonder down some halls I remember going down earlier in the summer looking for my classes eventually my friend find me. I hear a shout "Hay Bethany Over here" it was my friend Trinity shouting along side my friends Nathan and Nicole. We talked about how we where excited and nervous, I was nervous too but for other reasons besides classes and being at new school...

Nicole: Hay you ok what's wrong?

Bethany: it's nothing. (I look down at my feet trying not to show my real emotion as I look at my feet I feel Nicole put her hand on my shoulder).

Nicole: is it because of Juli or is it about Chance?

Bethany: Both...(as I say these words a tear falls from my cheek trying to forget what happened between me and Chance and trying to forget I wouldn't get to see my best friend Julianna or Juli for short as much anymore since she isn't going to the SRSS).

Nicole: it will be ok if you want I can help look for Chance with you if you want. (I gave her a smile and hug.)

Bethany: Thanks for understanding.

I go with Nicole to go find Chance. Chance was my best friend and was my boyfriend but I did something terrible that I can never forgive myself for. So we set out to look for him to tell him how sorry I was and how guilty I was for doing what I did wrong to him.

Nicole: Bethany look there is Chance!

Bethany: where?

Nicole: over there. Hay Chance over here!

Chance: huh? Oh hay Nicole.

Bethany: um hay what's up? (I said in a whisper trying to hold back the tears and all the emotion that was swelling in my heart).

Chance: Hay Bethany...are you ok?

Bethany: could I talk to you?

Chance: sure.

I take Chance to a quite spot where I could talk to him about what happened earlier in the summer.

Bethany: Look I'm so sorry what I said to you I got so upset about how I wasn't going to see you at all this year that I thought it would be better if I just leave you and I fell like my whole life was falling apart and I didn't want you guys to be apart of my life before I was going too...(I couldn't tell him I was planning on ending my life...before I could even think what to say I felt tears come from my eyes before I knew it he was hugging me I felt so bad that he was still there for me even after I left him.)

Chance: I know this is all new for you and I know you are scared it's ok even if we are not together we are still friends right?

Bethany: yeah thanks Chance.

Me and Chance go back and find the rest our friends we start to talk. Later on we start the tour of our classes and where we will be going for our classes I was completely alone all my friends start to make new friends or talk to old friends they haven't seen in years I didn't know who to talk to I was to awkward so I put my hood up and look down at the floor as we go through the tour about an hour later we told to go to the gold gym. I manage to find Trinity.

Bethany: Hay Trinity.

Trinity: oh hay. Hay guess what I found a great way how to make friends hahaha

Bethany: oh how so?

Trinity: here I will show you!

Bethany: oh ok. (She grabs my hand and brings me to some random person. he had short dirty blond hair it looked like he combed his fingers through is hair the way how it was styled he was quite tall but not crazy tall and he was quite thin too he had brown pants, brown and blue shoes and a white T-shirts I give Trinity a confused look).

Trinity: here watch this. Hay what's your name?

???:my name is Micheal. What's your name?

Trinity: my name is Trinity want to high five?

Micheal: sure!

Trinity: now we are friends hahah.

Micheal: cool!

Bethany: um what just happened?

Trinity: that's how you make friends haha

Micheal: oh hi I didn't see you at first what's your name?

Bethany: my name is Bethany.

Micheal: nice name. Well I have to go find my other friends hope to see you guys around.

Trinity: bye
Bethany: bye

For the rest of the day I hang out and talk with all my friends and try to make some new ones it was a good first day of school.
