Rain.

Excruciatingly heavy,

Every drop that touched

Crawling with gradual envy,

Every time I budged.

Undeniably passive,

each trickle stung

Inconceivably explosive,

Quilting the untenanted lungs.

Gone to ground,

Immersing underneath

Counterfeiting a hound,

Gnawing like a sheath.

Undeniably passive,

Shaken and impaired

Inconceivably explosive,

Quilting as they flared.

Came to incarnate,

Came with pique and bate.
