Daisy realised that no matter how many times she would show up, Catherine would talk to her, and only her. Only her. And when she wouldn't show up, Catherine would cancel immediately.

Of course, it was a dream to Daisy. She never dreamed that she would get as much attention as she was getting at the moment. Catherine became Daisy's best friend, and she told her everything.

The atmosphere was mellow. Daisy had rushed to go to Catherine's home. She excitedly ran to Catherine's doorstep. Catherine had never seen Daisy in regular old clothes before.

"Catherine you would never believe the news I just received!" Daisy brushed off the dust on her dress. Catherine smiled, she loved listening to the pure tone of her voice.

"Well? Hurry up and tell me!" Catherine demanded. She loved the melodic sound of her voice mixing in with the rhythmic sound of birds chirping, the sound of her heels clacking against the cream toned marble floor. Daisy had a truly electric soul, and Catherine was the only one who could ever understand that.

"I'm going to get married to Kate Nathan next month!" Catherine could almost faint. Her mind span, her knees turned into solid jelly, her heart beat fast, her face went pale, but she could never tell Daisy how truly upset she was by the news. It isn't true, it isn't right, her mind kept thinking.

Kate, Nathan, Married, Next, Month. The words repeated over and over. Catherine put up another facade to deal with the utter shock she was just placed in.

"Catherine, do you have a problem?" Catherine shook her head. "Not at all, I'm happy that you and Kate are together" The words came out meaningless, full of monotone, no love or passion displayed in her words, no anger, just monotone.

"Well, I am too. I hoped you could become the bridesmaid" no words could display the sadness Catherine thought right now. The name Kate or Daisy had no meaning anymore, the money she spent of the elaborate parties have no meaning anymore, and what were they worth anyway? Just to hear the news of Daisy and her fiancée, Kate Nathan. Daisy Nathan? No, no. She never wants to hear those four words ever in her life.

Kate, Nathan, Daisy, Nathan? Daisy's voice repeated in Catherine's head.

Bridesmaid, next, month, Kate, Nathan, Daisy, Nathan, marriage, fiancée. The voice in Catherine's head teased her, how could she be so foolish to fall in love with someone so high above her? No. No. The voice giggled and laughed on how utterly stupid Catherine was.

"I'm sorry Daisy, but I simply don't want to hear it." The door shut. The world stopped, for the both of them. What did I just do? The young women thought in their minds. Regret.
