Ashton decided not to answer it because he thought it was his parents and he's not allowed to have friends over when his parents aren't in town. The it called again. Breelyn got up from the couch and went over to the phone to answer it. She picked up the phone and asked, "Hello?" She could only hear whispers and mumbles but could figure it was a girl's voice. It sounded gritty and creepy. It was like if sand could talk it would be this creepy, gritty voice. She hung up and walked back over and sat down on Ashton's fancy black leather couch.

About five minutes later, the phone rang again with the same unknown number. This time, Ashton answered it just to see if it was the cable company. Silence. Then a couple seconds later an ear shattering shriek of terror came over the phone for about two seconds. Ashton dropped the phone and looked like he was about to start crying. He picked up the phone and put it back on the holder to hang it up.

Right when Ashton sat down, it rang again. Then hung up. Then rang again. Oaklyn got up and answered it this time. "What do you want?" she asked in a shaky, yet stern voice. Silence. Then the gritty voice started chanting, "lights out." "lights out, lights out, lights out." Her angry face quickly turned to a frightened face of sadness. She hung up the phone and started to walk backwards to the couch, still facing the phone. She bumped into an arm of the couch and gasped. "Ow." she said. Then, all of a sudden, a plate fell of of the table and a knife fell onto the floor, stabbing the ground. They screamed and then the TV turned to static. Then it turned off and everything seemed calm. They went into Ashton's bedroom and got into his sister's old bed.

They tried to go to sleep but then there was a tapping on the window. Their door swung open to see a silhouette of a girl with long, tangled hair and a glowing pair of eyes and a mouth that looked identical to Jeff he Killer's.

And that's all they remembered of that night.
