just stay

I woke up alone. Flipping over in the strange bed, I remembered where I was and swung my legs off the mattress. My feet hit the hardwood and I grabbed a t-shirt to cover my torso. I felt the fabric of my dress under my toes and I picked it up, along with my shoes.

Trying to orient my way out of the house in the dark, I made my way into the kitchen. He was sitting at the counter, and when our eyes met, his face turned slightly pink. But he smiled softly.

"I'm gonna head home," I whispered, not wanting to disturb the peace of the quiet house.

He looked at his phone. "It's four in the morning." Stretching an arm behind his head to rub his neck, he said, "just stay."

I looked around, wrapping my arms around my body. "You sure?" he nodded. "Did I wake you up?"

"No," he asserted, standing up. "I'm a really light sleeper, is all." He stepped around the counter and came towards me, taking the garments from my hand and placing them on the counter. "You were incredible earlier."

I closed my eyes, not wanting to get entranced again. "Are you sure your brother's not going to come home?"

"Not until tomorrow afternoon," he assured me, getting closer until I could feel his breath on my jaw.

"Leo," I whispered, my arms finding their way around his neck as he connected our lips. He was bolder now than before; his hand found its way immediately under my (his) shirt to my hip, tracing a finger on my waistline. His other hand was on my thigh, grasping harshly. He backed me into the fridge door, grabbing under my legs and holding me up to get access to my neck. "I- I can sleep in the other room," I breathed. "So I don't wake you up."

"Stop talking," he murmured, attaching his lips to my neck and biting softly, making me let out a small moan. He darted back up, capturing my lips in another open-mouthed kiss. My fingers twined themselves in his hair, and he pressed me tighter against the wall, our bodies flush. He pulled back just enough so that our lips were brushing when he asserted, "let's go back to my room."
