"Hey. Remember me?"
I looked up. There a brown haired girl wearing an orange and green dress.
"Wait, haven't we met before?"
"Of course! I used to live around here. We haven't talked ever since that birthday party of yours."
We just stared at each other for a minute. Suddenly I started to tear up.
"Hey, what's wrong?" She sat down beside on the stairs and put her arm around me. I told her every thing. I told her about the animatronic and how my sister died from it. I told her how I was depressed over the incident.
"Its OK,"she said. I couldn't get a hold of myself. I just kept on bawling my eyes out. It was no use.
"I feel your pain. Its OK." I never knew how nice she was until now. I finally stopped crying and looked at her.
"Thanks," I said shyly.
"Hey, at the beginning of summer vacation, I'm inviting some friends over. Want to come?"
"Um, sure," I said. "I'll try to bring some snacks."
"OK!"she said, running back home. "I really appreciate it! Bye!"
I waved goodbye and walked back to the house. At least now I have actual friends, I thought.
