Hunters aren't exactly a species, but they maintain the peace between all species. A fragile bond that could easily be broken if something big happens. The oldest Hunter is only 18 not even out of high school. Their ranks go from Z being the best and A being the worst, they also have numbers determining how close they are to the next rank, the best they have to be before advancing is zero.
Vampires do not like being controlled by or equal to humans, so in turn they try and cause trouble. This is where our story starts, a group of vamps in a school for orphans causing trouble.
This is where we meet Z-9. A hunter with extreme physical and analytical skill. She is the only hunter who only has a rank no name or anything that could connect to her parents. Vamps call her Little Fang while humans call her Misery.
(There will be many other species mention though the beginning will focus on hunters, humans and vamps. )
