Last time.....

This was my room. Other parts of the house also had white walls and mostly everything was either white or black.

Now....

The reason everything was black and white was because Adrian and Ann were really 'modern' and well they believed it would look cool. Don't get me wrong the house looked amazing but I just wish it had more color.

School starts August 14th which means I still have 7 days to do nothing (it's August 7th today).
I'm really tired but Ann suggested that Aaron and I should take a walk around the new neighborhood. I don't know why, he really doesn't like me but I'm guessing she thinks we will all of a sudden bond over nothing.

Anyway.... I go to Aaron's room and tell him Anns idea. He isn't really happy about it but neither am I and everyone knows Ann doesn't take 'no' as an answer, so I go to my room and get dressed in my favorite cat shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. Aaron and I leave the house and start walking in silence.... a really awkward silence. I hope it won't be like this the whole time we walk around the neighborhood. It has been 5 minutes already and he is still quiet. What should I ask him??

"Sooo... where should we go?" I asked him hoping he would say something. " I don't know and I don't care." He said, well I mean at least he said something. I started humming a song, it was by my favorite band. From the corner of my eye I could see that he was looking at me. I looked back at him but all he said was "shut up." Now what? We walked all the way to "The Old Fisherman's Wharf". It was lined with restaurants ranging from casual, open-air clam bars, to formal indoor dining with views of the bay, they were selling souvenirs so the restaurants were interspersed with gift shops, jewelry stores, art galleries, and candy shops. At the entrance to the wharf was a Custom House Plaza, apparently it was a historical center of Monterey.

A little dog came running up to us he was so cute. Around his neck was a red and black collar with big white word. I read it out loud "Adopt" so this puppy is up for adoption. I took him in my arms and looked at Aaron smiling, I was about to ask him if we should take him home with us but before I could say anything he said "Put him down! What if he has fleas or something?!" I was still holding this cute little bundle of joy in my arms and I wasn't planing to let him go just yet. "No way Aaron, he is soooo cute, I mean just look at him." Puppy was looking at me and.... smiling? I might just be overthinking. "Alex are you for real right now?" He asked my and of course I said yes. He was now looking at me with a confused look on his face. "Alex... That dog is the ugliest thing in the world."

I gasped. "What did you just say?" "You heard me, he is so ugly!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Aron is the meanest person I've ever met. I started at him in shock before I decided to walk away. Puppy was still in my arms and I just wanted to find the place he came from. I walked for about three minutes and I started noticing weird looks from people around me. I was loosing hope but finally I saw a stand with red and black balloons with white word "ADOPT" written on them. I came closer and lady saw me, she smiled at me and said "Hello darling, I see you've met Lucky." She looked at the dog in my arms, I smiled back and said "Yeah, he is the cutest little thing I've ever seen." "Well would you like to adopt him? I think he likes you." Is she saying what I think she's saying? I could adopt this puppy and he could be mine?! "YES!! I would love to... But don't you need to be 18 or older to adopt a dog?" I asked her genuinely curious. "Well yes, but seeing as this dog choose you maybe we could ignore the rules this one time." She winked at me and I laughed.

After that she gave me a leash that was matching his collar and after I signed some papers we were free to go. It started to get dark, Ann and Adrian are probably wor- shit!! Ann and Adrian! I haven't even asked them if I could have a dog. We were five minutes away from the house, I looked down at Lucky. "Now what should we do?" I asked my new friend out loud. "I don't know, I'm just a little dog." I heard a voice say behind me so I quickly turned around. Cute guy was standing there laughing at me. Could this get any more embarrassing?? "Ummm... You just saw me talking to a dog.... I swear I'm not weird or anyth-" "It's okay, I also talk to my dog sometimes." "Really?" "Yeah, I mean all people talk to their dogs, have you never talked to your dog and then answered for him?" He was cute and didn't think I was weird, can't wait to ruin this. "No, I actually never had a dog before. This is my first one and I'm pretty sure Ann won't be happy about this but I hope Adrian will help me convince her." Was this too much information? I mean we don't even know each other. I should've said 'mom' and 'dad'. I'm so dumb. "If I may ask who are those people?" Do I say my adoptive parents? Or just parents? I mean they are neither one of those things so what do I do? "Well you see they are people who will, hopefully, adopt me but I'm just still not comfortable with calling them mom and dad." Again, this is too much information, this guy is a complete stranger to me.

"Well now that I know names of your family members how about you tell me your name?"

We are gonna end it on that note. This took me long time to write, I hope you like it. At first I wasn't sure if I should even write more but here you go. Okay, bye.
