"John, what do you think of the sky?" Paul practically whispered and broke the cold silence as he lay his head on John's chest. They both laid outside on the grass, looking up at the stars. It was chilly, late September day and Paul was shrouded in John's pastel red bomber jacket.

John's eyes fluttered open and he looked up at the night sky. The sky was cloudless and a deep dark purple and blue color with small stars that twinkled endlessly. "The sky looks beautiful." John said softly. Paul looked up at him then back at the stars. "Did you know the sky is full of ghosts?" Paul pulled the jacket closer around him as he caught sight of his cold breath that resembled smoke. Paul shivered slightly.

"How is the sky full of ghosts?" John seemed befuddled at that statement. "Stars' ghosts. All these stars we see now, they are just shadows of thousands of years." Paul shivered and laid closer to John for warmth. "You're not making any sense, Macca." John sighed and looked at the shivering boy. John wrapped his arms around paul and held him closer.

"No its true." Paul sat up as the bomber jacket trailed off of his shoulders. "I didn't believe at first either but all these stars," Paul waved his hand across the sky as he continued. "They are just ghosts of past stars. Its amazing really." Paul smiled however still shivered.

John glanced up at the sky and "huh"ed. Paul pulled John's jacket closer around himself and shivered worse. "Paul you're gonna catch a cold if you're not careful. C'mon, let's get back to my house. And you can tell all about the spirits in the sky. " John smiled and brushed Paul's fringe out of his cold blush stricken face. Paul's cheeks turned a redish pink as John's hand grazed his face.

"Alright. Let's go," Paul stood up and stretched his arms out as John kissed his cheek then headed to his convertible. Paul turned red and wrapped the jacket around himself. John started the car as Paul got in as well. The car began to warm up and Paul sighed. John glanced at Paul and smiled.

"I'm so in love with you." John sighed. Paul looked at John with large eyes and his face faded into a deep red. Paul sputtered a reply and John found it absolutely adorable. He leaned closer to Paul and kissed him softly on the lips and Paul's whole body shivered.

"Are you still cold?" John looked in Paul's eyes. "No I just...I just love when you kiss me." Paul grinned, feeling a bit embarrassed to say the least. John smiled softly then kissed Paul again. "H-hey we should probably get going," Paul muttered. John glanced at Paul then nodded. John turned the steering wheel and they began their way back to John's house, which was a way's away.

John pulled up on the side of the road next to his house and looked at Paul. Their eyes met and jolt went through the two of them. A feeling that was just like when they first met. A wonderful feeling. John leaned closer to Paul as Paul did the same. Paul shuddered then he felt John's lips touch his own. Paul shivered and kissed John back. They both closed their eyes as Paul placed his hands on John's face and pulled him closer.

John fumbled with the buttons by the steering wheel when the roof of the car seemed to disappear. Paul jerked his head and looked up to see the sky. He gleaned ecstatically and kept gazing at the stars. John however was gazing at Paul as if Paul was a star.

Paul sunk back into his seat and snuggled closer to John. "This is actually perfect." Paul sighed. John turned on the radio hoping maybe Elvis would be playing but only the news was on. John groaned and rested his head on top of Paul's as the radio jabbered on about the stock market. Paul wrapped John's jacket around him as if it was a blanket and continued to look up into the sky. John kissed his cheek softly and gazed at the beautiful purple blue sky, that they has both fallen in love under.
