"The Shadow Contract"

Prologue

I was all alone in my room that day. The rain pouring outside was the only noise I heard.

Meditating and focusing when suddenly I felt someone's presence inside my room.

I was not bothered about it at first when I heard some screeching noise.

I opened my eyes and turned around, but no one was there.

I took a deep breath and slowly closed my eyes again.

The window slowly opened and I can feel the cold breeze that came from the outside.

The cold breeze was creeping me out, it's not an ordinary breeze because it has a strange presence covering it.

I stood up and closed the window. 

When I turned around, I saw a shadow in front of me.

It was a bit blurred, I don't know why there was a shadow there and why is it blurred if my eyesight is not damaged.

I was surprised when the shadow suddenly moved. 

The shadow was coming towards me but I just stood up doing nothing.

I was following the circled shadow on the floor when I felt goosebumps all over my body.

Can't move but why?

I felt someone slowly touching my arms. When I turned around, the shadow from before pulled my arms. 

I was dragged outside. Right now I'm outside shivering because of cold.

I was about to scream and call for help when the unknown creature covered my mouth.

"Shh...... little boy I'm just hungry" He whispered to my ears.

I can't move, even my little fingers wont move.

The creatures mouth opened.

It has sharp teeth and looking inside it's mouth is like looking at an abyss slowly swallowing me in darkness.

I can't even fight back, scream or even felt feared, I'm totally numb.

Is this the end of me?

"This one really has a good plot" Lance said while reading the book 'Inside The Depths' 

I looked at the book. 

This book has an ordinary plot, just reading this chapter, you could easily tell what would happen next.

I don't want to tell that this book was a trash, it was well made but the plot was not interesting for me.

Right now were in the library. This guy named Lance would never like books and he sucks when it comes in finding one.

We are here to find some books for her little sister. Her name was Elodie and she was a complete opposite of him.

She was smart and a bookaholic like me.

'I want you to come with my brother. He sucks on searching for a good book. You're the only one I could look forward to. Best luck' that was the words Elodie said to me before leaving.

"Look, this looks good" Lance appeared in front of me. He was holding a new book.

He gave me the book and I looked closely to it.
