Chapter 1- A meeting

Denice's p.o.v:
My phone kept buzzing I groaned clearly annoyed 'bout the sound the device was making. I checked it and saw 5 new messages from my ex Justin. I opened the lock on my phone and read through the texts. "Babe please answer my calls" "Babe I really want us to be together again. Isn't that what you want as well?" "Look I never dated behind your back" and so on. I have to laugh really he's the one at fault too bad he lost me 2 years ago.

But i'm curious to why he suddenly decided to want to date me again. Oh wait I forgot that the news came out that I was going to be EVP second highest posision in the business world . 'Yup that's probably it. Pfft Gold Digger.' I snickered at the very thought.

My family owns a business corporation called 'The Porter Corp'. My older brother Nathan Porter is the president of the company.

I am also an events planner in my aunt's very own business. But to tell you the truth I only help out there to pass the time. I turned my phone off and decided to take a walk in the park in the evening breeze. I wore a light pink dress that ended right above my knees and a short jacket.

I walked all the way there and saw people who are on a date, enjoying this night with their best friends wether it was a guy or a girl, people who are working on their relationship, getting out of a relationship that's not working etc.

And I was alone on a peaceful pathway. I continued walking till I heard a dog bark at me a friendly bark that is. "Bark bark" I looked at it for a second then suddenly something hits me . A flippin' frisbee was thrown at my face.

I groan in pain "owwww " I pick up the frisbee and try to find the owner of it and hopefully the dog's as well. As soon as I pick up the little pup it staryed to lick my cheek "hahahaha-ha-ha stop it"
Okay a part of me wanted to keep her but she already has an owner. I read the collar name "Suzzy" the dog barked at the very mention of her name "SUZZY! WHERE ARE YOU?! COME HERE GIRL" I'm guessing that's her owner "All right little lady. You've worried you owner a little too much" I put her down "Lets go find your owner" "Bark!" I giggled in response. I had to go out in the middle of the park where I could get a better view of the place Suzzy trailing behind me.

I heard her yelp in pain I turned my head and see her wimpering on the ground she was shaking as well. I picked her up once more and inspect her. I noticed that one of her paws was bent meaning it was broken. I'm assuming she got into an accident. I knew there weren't any animal clinics close by so I did what i had to do. I tried to remember the herb my cousin used on her pet dog when it had a broken leg. Surprisingly there were some near by. I tried not to make it obvious that I was taking a part of one of the bushes. I only took two of it then went back to Suzzy she was laying on the ground afraid to move. I teared the herbs in to two and got my handkerchief out. I put the herbs on her leg first then wrapped the cloth on it. It should stop the pain for a few but she needs a medic as soon as possible. Finally a few minutes later the owner came to get her. He was wearing jogging clothes had a mustache and his hair has gone gray ( he passes everyday they say he walks the length of the city. Any Hamilton fans out there?^~^) he looked to be around his fifties. He ran up to us. I waited for him to catch his breath first before entering a conversation with him. "Suzy there you are.. I was worried" "Sorry to interrupt mister?" "Mathews" "Mr Mathews. But it appears that Suzy here got into a little accident and got one of her paws broken" " Oh goodness .... Is there anything else broken perhaps infected" I laughed amused by his panic you could see this dog is important to him "Thankfully. No nothing else is broken and or infected. I crushed some herbs nearby that will help ease the pain for a while but she needs to be treated by a professional quickly" "Ah. Thank you young lady. Perhaps there's something I can do for you? In regards of taking care of my dog and returning her to me" "No need sir Mathews. I'm just glad that she's back with her owner. Well I've got to go I'll see you around sir" "Yes. Take care now and thank you again"
[p.s this is Mr Mathews talking]
*vibrating phone*
"Yes. Hello?"
"Yes. Hello father sorry to disturb but I'd like to talk to you about the bride candidates you and mom picked out for me"
"And?"
"I have made a decision and picked a bride"
"Well then that's wonderful news son. I'll come home immediately. I'll meet you at the house come have dinner with us it has been a while Zefyr.Your mother will be delighted to hear that you have picked a bride."
"As you wish dad."
