"You did it, didn't you?" I held up the cutouts of police reports, newspaper article. Clippings of the same story.
"Nancy-"
"I'm such a fool!" The articles flew out my hands as I yelled each word as bitterly as the last. Everything that was once on his desk was now spilled onto the floor. "I should've known it, since I laid eyes on you!"
"Nancy, I love you," he took a step towards me.
I took a step back.
"Love!" I spat through my teeth, "What the sheep has love got to do with this!" It was more of a statement than a question. "Love doesn't bring my mom back!"
"Nancy, please just hear me out." He pleaded, his eyes watering slightly.
"All this time," I released a sly chuckle, "I let you in my bed."
"Nancy, let me explain-"
"Everytime I cried on your shoulder-"
I'm a damn fool.
"Nancy you don't understand." He brought his hand up, leaning forward to cup my cheek.
I swatted his hand away like it was a disease.
"I. Hate. You."
And with that, I whipped out the gun from his drawer, the one he kept for emergencies, closed my eyes and shot.
3 times.
