Lori's POV:
I looked up, and there he was. My best friend. Or should I say, ex-friend? I saw 3 guys. I remember them all from spy school. Everything, from their personalities to their laughs. There stood Tommy, David, and Danny. I was worried, and almost, just almost scared.
But four years of spy school all day, didn't teach me to be scared. But today I was; it wasn't just because they were extremely intelligent and went through the same training as us, but because of Emily and Isabelle. They had a history with the guys too.
Not to also mention, myself. Usually I wouldn't take crap from any person, no matter who they were. But this was different. A few years back during spy school, Danny became my best guy friend. Me, Isabelle, Emily, and Danny and his two friends always hung out together. 24/7.
But, then something happened. We got into a fight. Not just your average fight. This was intense. He had told me that they had some information. They knew how to take over the FBI. And, well, with FBI power, what can't you do? I told him he couldn't.
I told him that Isabelle, Emily, and myself, would do everything we could do stop him. Then, he got mad. Really mad. He decided to not only take it out on me by fighting me physically, but taking it out on the two people in this world who I really loved.
He told me he didn't need me, and showed me how powerful he was by himself. He showed me what he could do, and now, tonight, I see it again.
I remember the exact words I told him after he killed my parents. To this day, I don't regret any of those words.
Not one.
Emily's POV:
There he stood. I don't know if my jaw dropped, but I know my heart did. He was as gorgeous as I remembered. I tried to ignore that thought.
Tommy.
Yeah, I used to liked him. Or maybe even something more. But he had lead me on. He'd always flirted, and stood just outside my reach. He made me think I had a chance. The night he invited me over to his place, my heart leaped. I didn't care if he'd asked everyone else, because I knew he had specifically picked me.
I remember putting my favorite outfit on, and walking through the door. It wasn't our usual party. Just us. I could see him across the room.
Then the lights turned off.
My spy instincts should have blared the alarms, but I was so excited, so in love, and so... trusting, that I ignored them. I had called out his name softly, like I didn't want to be too loud and break anything we could have. I remember him putting his arms around me. I don't know how long we stood there, and I won't tell you what else we did, but, I can still feel his arms leaving me, and squinting at his silhouette as he glided across the room to the window. How I didn't notice the open window, I still don't know. Maybe when I ignored my own warnings about a dark room, I ignored the window, too. I remember hearing his voice, so loud against the quiet room. Perched on the window, he called, "Nice having this date with you, we should do it more often. Maybe when the FBI and America are mine, I'll call you. You would make a good queen... or slave."
And with that, the laughing smile that I loved so much disappeared through the window. And two years later, it came here.
Isabelle's POV:
My heart stopped beating. Years of spy school had prepared me for everything but this. Surrounded by the dead bodies, stood three, all too familiar boys; David, Tommy, and Danny. Memories came flooding back. Spy school, all night parties, just the six of us, and hanging out after class.
