Alexander Aurum wasn't a man who liked wandering around. He liked getting what he wanted and going where he had to. But what he was doing now included walking around the streets of Vale. He was less than happy with that.
Some weeks after the Fall of Beacon, he was calmly sailing through the oceans with no worries until he saw a ship with the symbol of the Schnee Dust Company. The tiger Faunus wasn't the leader of a simple and small group of Faunus. He was the captain of a ship. A pirate, a thief. A rebel searching for something else in the world. And he wanted the dust. But things didn't go as well as planned and his ship - his beautiful and beloved ship - was damaged.
The closest place to the commotion to search for supplies and things to repair the ship was Vale. While investigating the area, Alexander found his old friend, Blake Belladonna. She was helping a lot, and offered herself to go in expeditions to search for what they needed. But now, with her in Patch, that responsibility was back to him.
I swear to Dust that the next time I steal Schnee shipment, I'll do it in a small boat and go unnoticed, the man huffed. Alexander entered a house that had been recently rebuilt by Glynda Goodwitch - another worry. If he were found out by the professor or the people making the security of the safe zone, he and his group would have to deal with authorities. And that was something to avoid. They were pirates after all.
Alexander searched for supplies everywhere in the house, but there was nothing interesting to see there. Nothing but a big TV that made him have the urge to steal it. The captain got out of the house and sighed, frustration flowing through his being. He looked up at the dawn sky. It was extremely beautiful how darkness mixed with light, the shattered moon still there even as the sun began to rise. He put his hands on the pockets of his coat and closed his eyes, a peaceful smile on his face.
The tiger Faunus stayed like that for some time until his ears caught the sound of an exotic bird. He recognized that screech. It was a Menagerian Hawk, a bird of prey with black and white feathers that was used by the people of Menagerie to make long distance communication. I wonder who it is searching for... The man thought and started looking for the hawk.
Alexander ran through the streets of Vale until he saw the hawk on the top of a four floors building. The bird was magnificent and the feathers shone in the early sunlight. The pirate smiled softly. Birds always gave him a big feeling of freedom, mainly when they were flying.
The man whistled twice, getting the hawk's attention. The bird screeched and flew away. Alexander groaned and ran to the building. With the speed of the running, he managedto get enough impulse and get to the first floor's window. Then, he got to the second window and to the third. When he finally got to the top of the building, he saw the hawk standing on the other side of the building. When it saw the tiger Faunus, it let out another screech, that was mirrored by the man. The hawk twitched it's head to the side and screeched again, only to be answered by an identical sound coming from Alexander.
The tiger Faunus extended his arm to the hawk and whistled. This time, the bird flew to him. Alexander smiled triumphantly as the beautiful bird landed on his arm. The pirate petted the hawk, making it close it's eyes peacefully. "Greetings, my menagerian friend. Let me see what you brought here." He got the scroll that was tied to the bird's leg and opened it. The smile on his face faded slowly as he read the letter many times, trying to process what he had just read.
"I have to go to Patch..."

Blake Belladonna hated waking up early when she didn't have to. She enjoyed staying in bed and resting when she could. It was something she earned from her years with the White Fang. When you have the chance to, sleep as much as you can.
