Once there was a poor little girl, her name was Jade, her 4th birthday was just yesterday, her daddy let her out of her room just for the day, but once midnight came he locked her back in her room. She cried herself to sleep, just like every night.
But in that dark and cold room, she heard a voice, she opened her eyes, she didn't feel scared, cold, or alone anymore, she felt happy, warm, and she seen loss of people around her, they all smiled at her, all big and bright, she sat up on her blankets on the hard floor. A young man with long brown curly hair came up to her, he smiled and kneeled down in front of her, Jade didn't feel no more pain that she was in a few seconds ago, she was calm and felt nothing! Nothing at al! Then the man spoke! He said, "hello Jade, my name is Jesus, I came here, with some of my angels to give you love and support, and to let you know you are not alone! We are here with you everyday! And we will be here all the way, through this tough journey! We will help you tonight, we love you Jade" Jade smiled, she hugged Jesus and said, "thank you Mr. .Jesus, can you help me get away from my daddy?" Jesus sighed, and replied, "unfortunately we can not, but we can help you get through this. Tell a trusted adult when you get a chance! We will get them to believe what you say!" Jade smiled, "be brave! Tell, even if you are afraid, we will give you courage! "okay, Mr. Jesus, I'll try to get help myself!" Jesus and the angels smiled, "alright my child, goodnight" "goodnight Mr. Jesus" Jade hugged Jesus tightly, then laid back down on the cold, hard floor, and fell fast asleep.
The next day, her dad came into Jade's room, he said, "your ungrateful mother is coming here, she's taking you for the week! Get up, and get ready!" Jade quickly got up, she hadn't seen her mother since she was 1 an a half! What was she like? She wondered, will she like me? Then the thought popped into her tiny mind! Is she like daddy? Soon she heard the doorbell, she grabbed her book bag, filled with the only things she had, and hurried to the stairs! She hid and watched as her daddy opened the front door, a nice looking young lady walked in, she had long curly brown hair, just like the man, her smile as bright as the angels, and dressed like she was rich! Jade was surprised! And she looked to her cloths, the only ones she had! So dirty and ripped, she hurried to the bathroom and looked into the mirror, her face was so dirty! Her hands, and other body parts were to! She quickly grabbed the only CLEAN sweater she had then washed her hands and face, then she covered up her arms with her sweater, then she heard her name being called, she walked to the stairs, she looked down to her beautiful mother, she wondered, "how can such a beautiful thing give birth to an ugly child like me?" "Jade! Hurry up!" Her daddy yelled, Jade jumped then hurried down the stairs, once she was off the stairs she stared at her mommy, and her mommy stared at her, her mommy smiled, then hugged her! Ever so tight! Then she smiled again, then hugged her, Jade was confused, so much loving was coming from someone that barley new her! "I'm so sorry I wasn't here for your birthday, but I'm here now, lets go spend time with each other for the week" she smiled, Jade was able to squeeze out a small smile, "bye David" said her mommy, "bye Amie" Jade tried to hurry out the door before her daddy said a word, but... "Jade!" Jade stopped and slowly turned to look at her daddy, "won't you give your dear old daddy a hug?" Jade looked down, then her mommy let go of her hand, and Jade walked over to her daddy, he quickly pulled her into a hug, then whispered, "don't you dare say a word about what happens at home!" Jade nodded but then remembered when Jesus said! "be brave! Tell, even if you are afraid, we will give you courage!" She had to tell her mom!
In the car, while driving away from the place Jade calls home, there was nothing but silence, Jade was trying to figure everything out, while her mom was trying to think of what to say... "how's school?" Her mom finally asked, Jade was silent but then replied with, "I don't go to school" her mommy looked surprised, "but you're four now, you should be in school " "well I'm not" sighed Jade, after that there was silence, until they drove into the driveway, before they got out, Jade's mommy said, "I have two step children, and... A new husband, I like you to meet them" Jade tried not to tear up, she just looked towards her car door, and nodded slightly, Jade's mommy smiled and got out, Jade sat in the car as she watched her mom walk a bit ahead from the car, she then seen a teen boy, and a young girl run outside and give her mommy a hug, then a man walked out, Jade started shaken, Jade started praying, "oh Mr. Jesus, please give me the strength and courage to face this challenge and tell my mommy what daddy does, oh please Mr. Jesus" she then looked up, her mommy came to the car door and opened it, Jade stepped out, "everyone I like you to meet my.." Jade's mommy paused, "daughter" but then continued, "her name is Jade, she just turned four a couple days ago!" "Well happy belated birthday!" Said the man, "Jade, this is Mark" Mark smiled, "hello" Jade waved a bit, "and these are my two step children, "Joseph, and Andie" they waved, Jade waved back, Jade's mommy looked to Mark then she said, "um, please come in Jade."
When they got inside, Jade's mommy got her a nice warm drink, Jade took a deep breath, and asked, "where did you go?" Jade's mommy was surprised she asked that question, so was Mark, and his children, "un, children why don't we go for a walk" Mark asked his children, "sure" said Joesph "YAY!" Andie cheered then they hurried out the door, when it was just Jade and her mommy, Jade's mommy said, "well, honey, back then a lot was going on and... I wasn't thinking straight, I thought your daddy would take care of you better then I could, you're just to young to understand" Jade shuck her head in disbelief, "actually, your wrong! I'm old enough to know, daddy's shouldn't hit their child! And that mommy's shouldn't leave because they're doing to much coke!" "Jade!" Her mommy snapped! "I cleaned up! I got better! And... Wait... Your daddy, hits you!?" Jade's mother was in shook! Jade looked down, she couldn't fight her tears no more, they fell down her face, like a waterfall! "Where were you when I needed you mommy?" Jade's mother started crying and took her little girl into her arms, "it's okay, everything will be okay" after Jade's mother got Jade to calm down, she got on the phone with Mark and then the police.
Jade then folded her hands, closed her eyes, and said, "thank you Mr. Jesus"
