« Nate what are we doing here? » Hayden said, more like giggled as they entered the set of The Vampire Diaries.

A few hours ago Nathaniel told her to get ready for their date, which she did . She was wearing a dark blue dress with golden heels on. Her make up was barely noticeable and her hair was slightly curly.
« Writing history » Nate simply answered, waving his hand up in the hair for big impression. She laughed at his stupidness. Although, it was the very first time she's seen him wearing a tux and she must say the sight was surely astonishing ... in a hot kind of way !

Aimee was being babysitted by Phoebe and Paul while Nate and Hayden were out.

Nate continued to walk toward the first stage, Hayden eyeing him curiously, her arms crossed against her chest. What the hell is he doing ?

« Have you FINALLY lost your mind? » she asked him putting emphasis on 'finally', as she watched him turning off all the lights but one, in the center of the room, directed toward them. The light threatened to blind her and she couldn't help but put her hand in front of her face to avoid it. She continued giggling at her faint attempts to stop the light from blinding her, as she wasn't noticing Nate staring directly at her with wide eyes .
After a while of fighting with the light , Hayden turned her attention to Nate, because he wasn't speaking for quite a while now.
Her face filled with worry when she saw him staring directly at her with unblinking eyes.

« What's wrong ? » she asked straight away, furrowing her eyebrows in confusion.
He only took a step closer to her, and entered the light circle the lamp was making around them.
He took her hands in hers.

« Do you know where we are? » he asked, softly, staring into her eyes, and caressing her hands.
She shrugged and chuckled at his stupidness.
« Of course ! We're on the set of the Vampire Diaries dummy » she said like it was the most obvious answer. Nate chuckled lightly but shook his head anyways .
« Not only . » he continued as he saw her frowning.
« We are standing in the exact spot where we first met »
Hayden looks around , her hand still held by Nate as she recognized her surroundings. It was the very first place she'd talked to Nate. She was talking to Daniel back then and Nate happened to come from behind her and made that bro hug with Dan. After meeting him a second time in the costume room because of a jacket problem, and going on a coffee date with him, she was quick to fall for him. So was he. Their break up shattered them both and while he was quick to busy himself with work or staying locked up in his apartment, Hayden started to go out with some football player to forget about Nate. She almost did when she learned she was pregnant with his child. Back then she was frustrated and scared, but thinking about it now, she regretted nothing. She was here, with the father of her child , the man she lo- she never really considered what were her feelings for him after his break up with Carla. Speaking of which the girl is still in her mental institution, and Hayden hopes she'll stay there for long . The girl has some serious issues...
She was tore out of her thoughts by Nate, who called her name several times .
« I'm sorry I just... zoned out » he laughed at that.
« Figured » she chuckles and dropped her hand that was still in Nate's grip.
« What are we doing here anyway? » as she said that, all humour disappeared from Nate's face and he suddenly felt very nervous and pale.
« Nate are you okay? » he gulped down hard and reached for something in his pants' pocket while he talked .
« Aimée is the best thing that has ever happened to me. You can't know how grateful I am to you for giving me the gift of being a father and I was so proud of you during the pregnancy and the labor , oh my gosh you can't even believe how strong you were » she smiled at that memory . She still remembered him telling her to breathe and her telling him that if he didn't shut up she would peel the skin off his face due to the pain. He'd told her to hold his hand which she did, and she was pretty sure that during the labor she heard the bones crushed at how hard her grip was.
She was still smiling as he continued talking: « look Hayden, I know this might seem sudden to you but I lo- » he was cut off by Hayden's phone ringing . She sighed as he dropped the hand he previously had in his pocket, clearly disappointed. Hayden was about to decline the call whoever the caller was, clearly interrupting a moment, but the moment she saw it was Phoebe she took the it.
« Hey Phoebe's how you- what? Wait ! Slow down! Paul stop slow down ! Breathe ! Where is she ? What? What hospital? Okay , coming right up , tell her to breathe ok ? » Hayden hung up and turned to Nate, panic evident in her eyes.
« What's wrong? » he asked , dropping the square box he's been wanting to give Hayden since the day he met her, back in his pocket.
« It was Paul on Phoebe's phone, she's getting into labor ! »
