The song for this chapter is: Good to be alive
"Child, we are going to make a black hole."
You couldn't help but snicker as Gaster spoke, a dark smirk curling onto his skull as he left a hand, prepared to attack Hazel and Kent. However, before anything could be done the air filled with screams. Angry, vengeful screams. The shadows of your dearly departed friends rose into the air and then lunged down, swooping over the couple, who screamed themselves and began to swat at them, seemingly unaware of what they were. You slowly stepped out from behind Gaster, no longer afraid. The shadows reached their arms out, which furled and unfurled like the smoke rising from the locker room, and gripped tightly to Hazel and Kent's clothes and lifting them off the ground. The couple began to squirm and scream, managing, somehow, to escape from the ghosts and land on the ground with a thud just outside the bone prison Gaster had trapped them in.
"W-Wait, please!"
Kent scrambled to his feet, backing away a little and pointing at Hazel as his eyes darted between the monsters and the shadows. His voice shook as he spoke. "I-It was her! It was always here! I never wanted to kill anyone!" His actions before the reset said otherwise. He continued to stagger back as the shadows drew closer. "It was just..it was supposed to be a prank! She's crazy, she's fucking crazy!" "How DARE you!" Hazel pushed herself off the ground and gripped his arm, digging her nails into his skin. "I am your girlfriend, you do not speak that way about me!" "You are NOT my girlfriend!" Kent jerked away and actually slapped her across the face. You covered your mouth, a soft 'ooooh' escaping your lips. Hazel glared and them shoved Kent, hard. The shadows lunged, wrapping the arms around Kent and dragging him screaming into the locker room. Hazel turned t run but froze, her eyes growing to the size of saucers as she began to shake. Slowly making his way onto the football field was Justin. his head lolling from side to side with each step he took. The gash across his neck was in perfect view, and the blood had stained the front of his short. He was already showing the first stages of death, his body taking on a waxy looked and his eyes were cloudy. Hazel began to pant hard and turned, running back towards you. "(Y/N), please! Help me! Don't let them get me!" She reached you, but Sans was suddenly just..there, having flickered into existence. His eye was glowing and his human form was beginning to dissolve. She tried to get around him, pleading. "We're friends! (Y/N), tell him we're friends!" Sans growled, this deep, guttural sound, and with one hand he shoved her back towards Justin while he pulled you to his chest with the other.
Hazel shrieked and squirm as Justin locked his arms around her, somehow much stronger than he had ever been in life. He began t march her back towards the locker room, and the monsters stepped aside, letting them through.
Justin paused when he reached the doorway and looked back at you, expectantly. You knew what he was waiting for.
"I forgive you, Justin."
He smiled, very slowly, and then turned, walking into the locker room as it continued to burn to the ground, the roar of the flames drowning out Hazel's screams.
Sans held you closer, kissing your forehead. It's a good thing those idiots were so predictable, if they had taken you anywhere else...let's go home. I can hear sirens."
You took one last look at the burning locker room. Kent and Hazel were dead, there was no way they couldn't be. Your friends were finally going to get peace.
It was over.
You nodded, holding San's hands and pressing your lips to his teeth. He hummed happily and led you through one of his short cuts. It was time to go home. It was the end.
For everyone.
In another timeline, Geno stood atop mount Ebott, watching with Sans, Frisk, and Papyrus as the sun began to rise. He couldn't believe it. He was free, and everyone was alive. Tears stung at his eyes and he wiped them away, smiling. "I can't..believe this is real." "I know," Sans gave him a smile, "But it is. It's all real. Ad Frisk is never going to reset again." The child hummed in agreement, resting atop Papyrus' head. The group turned to look over as laughter floated up from downhill. Walking over, Sans looked down and his sockets widened slightly when he recognized one of the girls in a group of teenagers, who seemed to be out for a morning picnic.
"Hello daddy, hello mom, I'm your ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-cherry bomb!"
