Long Distance Fairytale

Long Distance..

             Journal Day 365:  It's January 4, 2017.. Wow, I can't believe it's been a year with him already.. It seems like just yesterday I was talking to him and falling in love, but now...now we're together.. I can't wait to meet him. I know he's the one.. Just think a while longer and I'll finally be in the arms of my one true love. I always love doodling our names together to see what sounds the best, but as soon as we get married.. well hoping we get married someday I can't wait to have his last name. I mean he already stole my heart, so it's only fair that I steal his last name. Well, I better get going for today.. I have a big day ahead of me tomorrow. 

         The next morning Brittney wakes up from a deep sleep, she gets ready for school since senior year is almost over. She puts on a cute sweater, a pair of her favourite jeans and her most beloved moccasins. She throws a coat on, her bag over her shoulder and down stairs to the kitchen table where her mom is drinking coffee. "Good morning mom." She sits down and starts making a bowl of cereal. "Hi, Beautiful.. How did you sleep." She looks at her smiling because she is so proud of her daughter. "I sleep great mom, I can't believe this school year is almost over though I just can't get it through my head that I am actually almost done." She takes a bite of her cereal and just looks around. "Brittney, dear your life is just beginning but I'm super proud of you remember always." She gets up and gives Brittney a kiss on her forehead before gathering the rest of her things before work. Brittney finishes up her breakfast and grabs her bag and her and her mom both head out to the car. They arrive at Brittney's school and she gets out waving to her mom as she walks inside and her mom drives off.

     Brittney goes inside and meets up with her best friend Emily almost tackling her to the ground. "Hey there! How was your Christmas vacation?" Emily looks at her laughing "It was good, but I wish you would ya know get off me." Brittney laughs and stands up "Right" She puts her hand out and helps Emily up. They both go to their lockers and then Emily shuts hers and looks at Brittney. Brittney looks over "Can I help you?" She laughs and Emily looks at her "So.." Brittney looks at her confused and shrugs "So what?" Emily shuts Brittney's locker "You know what i'm talking about, how's Matthew? How are you guys?" She laughs as Brittney looks around and starts walking down the hallway "He's good Emily and we're good, I just can't wait to actually see him ya know. Actually be able to have my arms around him for the first time." Emily starts laughing "What Em?" She keeps walking "Well Brittney, you're just adorable." "Whatever Em, well I have to get to class but I will see you after school since you're staying over. Wait you're still staying over right?" "Duh Brittney." She laughs as she goes to class and Brittney walks to her class. The day goes on and then Brittney meets up with Emily by the fountain outside as it's snowing gently. 

     "Well, well, well It's about time you get out of class.. I'm freezing out here." Brittney walks to Emily's car with her and they both get in and drive back to Brittney's house. Brittney walks on her porch and unlocks the door and lets them both in as they feel the warmth of her home. Emily sets her stuff down and goes and sits on the couch with her can of Pepsi. Brittney's phone starts ringing and it's her boyfriend from England Matthew. "Oh boy it's about time he called you Brittney." Brittney laughs "Oh hushhh." Brittney answers the phone "Hello." Matthew laughs "Well cute stuff it took you long enough to answer the phone. I missed you today." "I missed you too, it was a long day at school." Emily is sitting on the couch and instantly starts bursting out laughing "Brittney and Matthew sitting in a tree K-I-S-S-I-N-G." Brittney turns towards her "Um how old are you again." They both laugh and then Brittney sits on the phone with Matthew for a while until he has to go to bed but then Emily looks at Brittney. "I'm glad you found someone that is just as weird as you are. You guys are so perfect for each other it um MAKES ME SICK." She laughs and hugs you while she orders a pizza. 

   A couple hours later both of the girls are just lounging around Brittney's room watching tv and eating pizza. Brittney looks at the clock and it's 12:30, "Oh my gosh Em I'm going to sleep." She soon realizes that Emily is already asleep, she laughs and heads to bed herself. The night goes on for a couple of hours until Brittney's phone starts ringing and it's Matthew so she answers it immediately. "Hello." "Hey babe, I'm sorry if you were getting ready to go to sleep, but I miss you and just needed to hear you voice again.." "Its alright, I missed you too, I just I didn't wanna bother you." "Brittney, you'll never bother me, I'm just happy you picked up."  They talk for a while until Matthew falls back asleep on the other line and eventually Brittney does the same. The next morning Brittney has indoor soccer practice and is extremely tired but goes anyway.

    It's eleven O'clock and she finishes indoor soccer practice and puts sweats and a hoodie on before heading back home. She grabs her phone out and there is a message from Matthew that says "Call me asap please." She gets worried and runs home carefully since it's snowy and Icy. She runs up to her room shuts her door and calls him. The phone rings and he answers "Hey." She can hear the pain in his voice. "Are you okay babe?" He goes silent for a moment "Um, yeah it's just I can't ..." Brittney gets all confused "Can't what Matt?" The line goes blank and Brittney tries to text and call him but no answer. She tries contacting him every way possible for the next couple of days and then nothing..

   Journal Day 380: What did I do... Why won't he talk to me.. I feel like a piece of my life is gone, I just wish he would have told me what he couldn't do. I'm so worried what if something happened to him.. Well, I'm too worried and emotional at the moment to write anymore but I'm going to go try to see if he picks up.

      Brittney goes to her room and calls him a couple more times and he finally texts back "Stop calling me I'm busy." "Okay.. I'm sorry. I'm going don't worry." She lays in her bed and then gets ready to go to indoor soccer practice at Five O'clock that night. She grabs her bag, her mom drops her off with her friend Emily and she's so not concentrated during practice and gets hit with the ball on accident. "Sorry girls.. I um.. I gotta go I can't do this today." She runs in the locker room and Emily runs after her. "Brittney he's just a boy." "I know Em, but I really love him." "I know you do, if he really loves you though he'll text back." Emily hugs Brittney and she hugs her back. "You're right. You're the best Emily.. Ya know I love you too." She smiles and they both get dressed and head out to the hallway.

       They both walk through the hallway almost out to the door where Brittney's mom is supposed to be picking them up but she's not there. "That's weird Em, she's not here yet." "Yeah that is maybe you should text her?" Brittney grabs out her phone and texts her, but no answer yet. "Hey.. can I bring you home." Brittney turns around because the voice sounded so familiar and she dropped to her knees crying after noticing who it was. Emily looked down the hallway and Matthew was standing there with flowers and a teddy bear. He looked at Brittney in the way every guy should look at his girl, and walked down the hallway and got to her level. "Hi." She looked up at him and just hugged him. He wrapped his arms tightly around her and wiped her tears with his thumb. "You know princesses shouldn't cry?" She smiled and hugged him as tight as she could. He picked her up and Emily looked smiling "Ya know it's about time you came to see her." They both laughed as Brittney was hugging him like a koala. Brittney whispered in his ear "What are you doing here?" He looked in her eyes "I told you I missed you, and I just needed to hear your voice for real. So I got a plane ticket and I flew in last night I wanted it to be a surprise." She hugged him and laid her head on his shoulder. He rubbed her back and they all went outside to Brittney's mom who was hidden in the parking lot. She pulled up to the front and Emily sat upfront with her and Brittney and Matthew in the back. They soon drove home.

      A while later they all ate dinner together and Brittney was just so shocked that he was finally there with her. They ate ice cream sundaes together and then set up the living room for a little sleepover together since Matthew was staying the week with Brittney and her mom. Brittney and Matthew laid on the pull out couch and Emily laid on an air mattress. "Like I said you to are so perfect IT MAKES ME SICK. Well?" Matthew looked at Emily "Well what there?" She laughed 
"UM KISS HER ALREADY DUH!" Brittney put her hands over her face so embarrassed and he took his hands and moved them and smiled before he gently kissed her "I love you Brittney and always will" She smiled "I love you too Matthew, and you too Emily." She laughed and then Emily looked at her and laughed "Well you don't have a choice." They all laughed and enjoyed the night together.
